The moment they enter—

Opens it.
Closes it.
Then says quietly:

Silence.
Ilya frowns.
"What do you mean?"
Aeryx looks at the ground.
There are two footprints ahead of him.
Not behind.
Ahead.
SCENE 1 — THE CITY THAT DIDN'T FINISH
They walk forward.
The world looks normal—
Until you focus.
A car stopped in the middle of turning.
Its wheels slightly phasing.
A man mid-step—
but his shadow is already ahead of him.
Raven whispers:

Ilya:
"Time isn't frozen…"
"…it's misaligned."
SCENE 2 — PEOPLE WHO CAN'T CATCH UP
They pass a woman.
Her lips move—
but her voice comes late.

Like the same word trying to reach reality.
Raven clenches her fists.
"They're trying to finish their moment…"
Aeryx:
"But something isn't letting them."
SCENE 3 — THE DIRECTION
Ilya checks readings.
Signals overlapping.

A spike.
"…There's a center."
Raven:
"Where?"
Ilya points forward.
"Whatever broke this world…"

Aeryx doesn't hesitate.

SCENE 4 — THE FIRST CRACK IN CONTROL
They move faster.
Still careful.

The darker Aeryx stops.

Everyone freezes.

A hanging sign above the street…
is swinging.
Slowly.

But nothing else is moving.

Carefully.

SCENE 5 — THE GIRL
They turn a corner.

Sitting.

Not fully free.
She's… lagging.
Like her body is trying to exist in the right time.
Raven slowly kneels.

The girl nods.

The girl struggles.

The girl looks at him.

"…so it… slowed everything…"
Ilya processes it:
"…Not stopping…"
"…controlling speed…"
Aeryx finishes:
"Trying to match something."
Raven looks at him.
"…You?"
No answer.
SCENE 8 — IT ARRIVES
The air shifts.
Not loud.
Not dramatic.
Just—
wrong.
A reflection appears in broken glass.
Not matching reality.
Something tall.
Distorted.
Out of sync.
It's not walking.
It's appearing between moments.
SCENE 9 — THE RULE
The girl whispers:

Raven:
"What happens if we do?"
The girl looks at a nearby frozen man.
His body glitches—
then snaps slightly out of place.
"…you fall out of time…"
FINAL SCENE — THE BOOST
The entity stops.
Looks at Aeryx.
Only him.
Time around Aeryx begins to break harder.
His body flickers.
Ahead.
Behind.
Multiple positions.
Raven shouts:
"AERYX!"
Ilya panics:
"It's trying to sync him!"
The darker Aeryx:

"…it's trying to FIX him."
The entity raises its hand.
The world tightens.
Everything slows further.
Even Raven struggles to move.
Then—
Aeryx takes a step forward.
Not fast.
Not forced.
Just…
his own pace.
And the world—
fails to slow him.
Silence.
The entity pauses.
For the first time—
It doesn't understand something.
Aeryx looks at it.
Calm.
"You're not controlling time."
"You're chasing it."

A crack forms—

Movement returns.
Just a little.
