Chapter 41 - May I call you that?(2)

The darkness that embodied itself around her, calmly cracked and shimmered as piercing rays of light seeped into the vision of the nurse from before. Or at least-

"Ohhhh."

The person she was in now. As an observer. Restrained by unknown forces that she knew her- 'current self' could ger out in less than a blink of an eye and yet.

"Cough. Cough. Where am I~ haaaah."

She stayed the way she was and looked on without letting any lingering feelings or thoughts weigh down her concentration. But on what? Well, on the view that unravelled before her was it not? Yes, yes it was. On the eerily strange yet familiar environment that not she alone. But her dream as well.

Her past self groaned slightly as it tried to move around in the bed that she lain on. But her injuries were two severe and all she could manage to do was slide up the bed a bit and fall back on its sheets and cushion before letting out a deep breath.

Future her then thought, "Ha ha ha. Yah I remember this feeling. Damn was it agonising to bear with."

But then, as soon as she finished her statement. A shimmer something... impartial sparked to her left side.

'I have a body in here?' She thought as she was still baffled by the fact that she could not remove her gaze from that of the girl she was in her dreams. They were intertwined by the rules of this sudden dream. And yet had no real way of being disconnected from one another which made her all more baffled and furious about the situation she was inright now. And once more, it shimmered the same spark of impartiality. That felt all the more warm and dare she thought of it familiar to her once again.

And it happened again but brighter this time. And again as another himmer sparked to her side. And another that sparked with two more. And another that had become big enough to form what seed to be or at least feel akin to a-

"Person?" She mused as she then felt a shift in her world and finally her gaze seemed not be completely bound to her dream self's but then again, it had not yet been solely given back to her. But now it was like she could see two things at once. And this time she could decide where she wanted her focus lie.

Like a regular person zoning out and entering into a world of their own.

She however could not see of she had a body of her own this time around. She could only catch the shimmers of the ghosts of the what seemed to like people, dancing around as with each time they came and went they came back as a brighter and clearer images of that had more meaning to her than she knew.

And then she remembered, what this was all about. She remembers that this is the moment when-

"Ahhh why?"

All the memories.

"Why?"

All the times she spent in the real world before coming here, before was sentenced here...

"What... what did I do?"

All the moments she experienced.

"Why did it have to be us?"

All the joy.

"Mervis."

All the hurt.

"Vasity."

All the times she raged. All the times she suffered. The times when she groveled.

"Eric and Plottia too.... hic hic."

All the... gruesome things and wrongings she faced.

All the times when she... and her friends wanted to run. To scream. To fight fir each other. To play. And to-

"Why didn't I g-go wi-with them hu-hic hic hic!"

Escape.

And the times when... she was her family. Back on earth. Where in some places the air felt fresher than a cup of water. And in some places where...

"Mom.... da-dad... I'm sorry... I'm so so sorry.... hic hic."

It was poisonous enough to kill even the most rotten of people who were as used to the smell of filth and pollution, having have lived in such places all their lives.

But where did they live? In the alleys perhaps? Or maybe in the centres that were set up for their kind? She... she didn't know. For back then... she was afraid. Afraid that her delicate and perfectly raised figure would be tainted by even the slightest gust of filthy air.

And then again, painfully so. She was now in the very same situation as those people she once greatly despised. How could she tell so? Well, judging by the actions nd conditions of the people and environments in her memories. It was more than enough proof that she too had slumped down to the lowest of the low levels of life. Or was it still all a dream like she was told in the beginning?

"Haaah!" She sighed.

As she then thought, 'Ha ha ha. What would Eric have done by now huh?'

And her future self also replied with a thought of her own that laced with more discomfort than she could allow herself to feel,'Eric uhhhh he- he would have-'

Bam! Step!

"Hey peach face she's right over here!"

Step, step, step!

The soubds that sounded into hears all once we're supposed to cause to get on guard and be ready for whoever or what ever was coming her her way, right? But alas, she remained utterly indifferent. As the soubds grew louder, closer and more in number. Indicating that there were more than enough people in this place where ever she lain and they had goals in mind for her ar atleast her body.

Is the only possible thoughts that reminisced in her mind as she gaze remained up on the ceiling that was not painted and so its true nature was exposed to her as she age of ut symbolised the few great seizures that spread throughout it. And the webs that stretched across its surface as its brownish gray hues symbolised that theee people or what ever they were could not simply give two damns about cleaning the place.

'Ohhhh if my ceiling was like this... mom would have spanked the responsibility and cleanliness into me before I had the time to even think about it.... wouldn't she?' She thought as she then felt a brazen sharp heat clutch from her bottom eyelids as her vision began to blur slightly.

Not because she was fainting or anything, but simply because-

"Aha I knew I could rely on you Clide, that's why your the King of Wolves ha ha."

Her emotions had more rule over bodily senses and urges than she ever had. Well at least, until she came her. To the dreamscape.

But then again, her brief moment of grief was interrupted by two masculine voices. On was cold and decisive of the sort and the other...

Step, step, step!

"Aha ha ha! Yes she's awake even. That was fast really fast." Was more fluffy and and youthful than the other's. Than her own had ever felt or sounded like. She then found herself looking at the source of the vouce that sounded more human than any other she had ever heard since coming to this world.

And he looked. Joyful. Intrigued. And more astonished than other man who stood beside him had ever been. This man had ruby red short hair. The ripest of peach skin. White teeth and skinny too. He stood at a considerable height. She just didn't know which was which. To be exact.

The man soon sat down with a smile that most likely give what anyone in this realm would kill to just have drop of-

"Hello~ My name is Cronix. You've probably never heard of me and that's fine but you wanna know a little secret?"

And that was simply-

"Okay... your not one to talk a lot in see. He he~ Well my secret is that-"

Hope.

"I'm here to help you."

And a little bit of she thought of as-

"And what's your name... little one?"

Comfort.
