Chapter 68 - chapter 67 - The Six Shadows of Malice

Now I and Historia, sitting in a Carriage, were going toward our house away from that factory. And if we talk about Helena, then her condition was delicate, therefore she also had been taken to the house in a safe way in a separate carriage. But in my mind a strange entanglement was pricking like a thorn. I was being quite surprised at this thing that Vyuk and that mysterious lady did not do much questioning-answering with me. That silence of theirs was scaring me, as if they were waiting for some right opportunity.

I remembered that moment, when in that workshop of the factory Helena was lying half-unconscious and I was worrying about her. But just then Vyuk turned his eyes toward me and began to do questioning of me. He placed his heavy hand on my shoulder,

And in a slow but strict voice began to say, "Forgive me Jona, but can you tell us in detail about your Encounters that happened with that kidnapper woman? And the most important thing—after all how did you finish her?" That question was like some trap. Vyuk knew that that woman was no ordinary Sequence 1 Paragon, she had the powers of the Void pathway. However, perhaps seeing my tired eyes and blood-stained torn clothes, he then further said in a slow voice that if you do not want to talk about this at this time then it doesn't matter, we can talk comfortably about this later also.

But I knew this thing very well that if I avoided Vyuk's talk right now, then it could stand a very big Problematic situation for me in the future. The rules of the Church and the investigation of the Royal Knights are nothing less than some hell. Perhaps later it could happen that if I did not give the answer now, then I might have to pass through a round of even more harsh and Strict Investigation. And I did not want all this at any cost.

That is why I decided to tell everything to Vyuk right now.

After which I narrated to them all that which could give peace to their ears, although I never told them the full truth. I had woven the threads of my story very carefully. The things which I told them, among them most things were truth indeed, but in that ocean of truth I had put a deep layer of lie. I very cleanly removed from my story Mainly every single mention of my 'Reverent Card' and 'Heater'. And not only this, the black diary which I had found while taking a search of that woman's corpse, I did not let the mention of that also come upon my tongue. That diary was now pricking like a cold secret inside my shirt.

But whatever Logic and excuses could sit right among them, I used all of them. I made them believe that that woman was buried under the burden of her own powers and I just struck at the right time. However, explaining to a cunning person like Vyuk and hiding my truth was certainly a little difficult for me, but finally I have gotten rid of this trouble to a great extent.

Even I had told Vyuk this also that I have not been able to find out any thing about that woman's name or then her Identity. I had said this thing in a very measured tone. Although Vyuk had not done any such question to me, but I gave him this information so that it may not feel to him that I am trying to hide something from him.

However, then the answer which Vyuk gave me in return, hearing that I was completely surprised. He took a deep breath and looked while turning toward me, and then he said, "Oh no, Jona you do not need to worry. Actually, to some extent we have found out that after all who that kidnapper woman was."

Hearing which I and Historia, both are surprised. On Historia's face also was that same amazement which was going on in my mind. And I say to Vyuk, "Is it true? So after all who is that woman?"

Upon which Vyuk gives a reply, "Actually we have gotten information about this from the goods being taken by that woman. Although we do not have much information about her yet, but according to as much as we have found out, that woman belongs to the 'Sulan' clan."

Vyuk tells further and this clan is one among 'The Six Shadows of Malice'. This name I had heard for the first time in this world,

Therefore suppressing my entanglement, I asked Vyuk that after all what is this 'The Six Shadows of Malice'?

Hearing which Vyuk told me that 'The Six Shadows of Malice' was a Group of Clans of those dangerous tribes, who used to serve the 'Dark Lord' directly. In Vyuk's voice was a strange warning. He had continued his talk saying, "This is the reason that these are seen from the perspective of an Evil Clan Group. They have done such terrifying and bad deeds in their era that the pages of history tremble even today by their name."

Destruction and darkness itself was the real identity of these clans.

But Vyuk said further, "But there is no matter to panic, in today's time most of these clans have become quite weak and are just somehow Surviving."

Hearing these talks of Vyuk I say while being surprised, "Oh! So it is such a matter."

Vyuk shakes his head while putting eyes into my eyes and gives a reply, "Yes, absolutely. But we have not been able to find out anything about that woman's real name until now." He took a deep breath, as if he too had been unsuccessful in solving this puzzle. "Yes, but we have certainly found some clues about her intention."

Intention! Hearing that word my ears stood up. After all what did that fierce woman of the 'Sulan' clan want to achieve? Upon which I again ask with curiosity and nervousness, "Oh, so good! So after all what was the intention of that woman?"

Vyuk placed his hand on his waist, and Vyuk gives me a reply, "Look, these talks I cannot tell you. This information is 'Official'."

In his voice now was not that old friendship, but the tone of a harsh officer. He added further, "The information of this is only with the Church, the Royal Knights, and the police." And saying this much Vyuk avoided my talk.

He became silent, but that 'Official' answer of his created a new whirlwind in my mind.

But now amidst the jolts of the carriage, while looking out from the window I realized that although Vyuk may be hiding the truth, but that 'black diary' stolen from the corpse of that woman is still with me. And perhaps that truth is present in my pocket too.
