Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: History

He continued, "I didn't create the orb; that's impossible. I just managed it with my son, Sam. I found the orbs in an old box years ago, in a cave. When I held the box, I saw a vision of five heroes rising, defeating all the monsters. I decided to take care of it, released it into the sky, and it chose who it wanted.

The orbs have infinite energy, so I used it to build this secret base and power the lab. My son Sam helped me. We used the energy to create many things—like this watch. It isn't just any watch; it's a morpher. It lets you transform into your costumes.

The costume isn't just a dress—it makes a normal human ten times stronger, makes an ant as strong as an elephant. It also gives access to weapons, bikes, and lets you teleport from anywhere to the base or elsewhere. Do you all understand?"

They all replied, "Yes." They were amazed, dumbfounded, not knowing what to say.

Daniel said, "If you're wondering, this big base is underground, somewhere in the world. Thanks to the orb, we can build almost anything."

Gabriel said, "Thanks for the comfort, but I need to go home. My aunt will be looking for me."

Daniel said, "You just arrived here 30 minutes ago. Why are you so reluctant? Why don't you want to accept the orb?"

Gabriel said, "You won't understand."

Daniel said, "The orb already chose you. It doesn't make mistakes. You're to lead your team."

Gabriel thought, _Can a monster be a hero? Can a monster lead a team to fight evil?_ He remembered what his mother told him—that being a monster should never affect who he truly is. He decided to join the team.

Daniel said, "Good. Let's get on with the training."

They trained for twenty minutes. First, it was a practice to destroy robots. Inexperienced, they kept failing, struggling to land a hit or defend. Then something surged inside Gabriel. He punched a robot with incredible force; it flew across the training area. The others were shocked, asking how he did it. Gabriel said that as a child he trained with his parents to be a fighter. Daniel was surprised, but he nodded, acknowledging Gabriel's potential.

Suddenly, an alarm rang. Daniel shouted, "Monsters have arrived. Get ready—battle starts now."

They were shocked. "Can't we wait?" some thought, but Daniel was firm. "Now is the time." He handed each of them a watch. They pressed the button, teleported to the battlefield where monsters waited.

Gabriel looked around, saw a monster with sharp claws and fiery breath, and dozens of identical, weaker monsters. Through the watch he asked Daniel, "What are they? Why so many?"

Daniel answered, "Those that look alike are Trinix—petty monsters, not strong. The clawed, fire‑breathing one is the real threat."

Gabriel said, "Okay." The five exchanged glances, fear mixed with determination.
