Thirty minutes have passed since the movie started and Park and I are having a good time.
The movie is really funny it helps me forget what happened earlier. But not just the movie helped me.
Sitting next to Park made my heart flutter, something I haven't experienced in forever. Seeing his cute little laughs at the funny scenes.
(Ah, he is just so cute❤️)
I love him.
I've loved him ever since he moved in next door.
His kindness.
His helpful nature.
His clumsy personality.
I wish I had met a boy like him in high school instead of my husband but you can't change the past. As time went on we continued to enjoy the movie.
—
"Man, that still is a funny movie. Right? Miss Choi."
"Yes, it was really good."
The movie finally finished and it was getting dark out.
"Alright, that was fun, maybe I should start making dinner," I said.
"What? No Park you don't have to—"
"Miss Choi," I cut her off. "You should relax, I don't want you to be stressed out."
"Is it okay if I can borrow your kitchen?" I ask.
"Y-Yes" Miss Choi hesitated but answered.
"Thank you." I gave her a soft smile and walked to the kitchen.
"Excuse me" I open the fridge and check inside. "This can work." I brought out the meat and checked the cabinets and grabbed sesame oil, soy sauce, and honey. (and also other things) I set them on the counter, cracked my knuckles, and began.
"Here we go."
—
I heard cluttering and searing in the kitchen, but I dared not look, so I sat patiently.
(God my heart is beating.) I was sitting down so stiffly like I had forgotten to move.
(This is wrong, I should be cooking instead, I was the one who invited him over to hang out.) Well forced to in a sense.
(But I guess I don't mind.) Park is extremely caring. Even though I forced him into my home, he chose to stay and cover for me at my lowest moments, and even began to cook for me. I begin blushing like a high school girl.
(He shouldn't be too nice to women, he could easily be taken advantage of by these horrible girls.) Well, I did force myself onto him.
"*Sniff* *Sniff* wow, that smells good." The strong aroma was coming from the kitchen which made my tummy rumble.
"I can't wait to try it," I said excitedly. "This is the first time in a long time that someone has cooked for me. especially a man too."
Minutes later, he goes by the searing from the kitchen stop and he walks from the hallway
"Dinner is ready Miss Choi." He said.
He was holding two plates Seems like Bulgogi. A popular Korean dish of thinly sliced, marinated meat (usually beef) that is grilled or stir-fried, translating to "fire meat"
"Shall we eat?" As he walked to the table.
"Y-Yes." I followed behind.
He set the plates down, and we both sat at the table. We both snapped our chopsticks.
"Thank you for the food," he said
"T-Thank you for the food," I said nervously. I looked at the plate and the food looked astonishing, this looks better than my cooking.
I grabbed one of the thin slices of beef and put it in my mouth.
MUNCH
"*Gasp*" as I tasted the nice marinated beef, a tear began to fall from my eye.
MUNCH
I begin to eat another
MUNCH
And another
MUNCH
I started to devour the Bulgogi on my plate. I tasted heaven for the very first time.
"Hehe, is my cooking that good? Miss Choi?" He was staring at me across the table with a smug grin on his face. I blushed.
"Y-Yes it's really tasty, how did you learn how to cook like this, Park?"
"When I was young but of my parents worked a lot and none of them had time to cook because it will to late at night."
"So we always eat pre-cooked meals for dinner."
"So you decide to cook for your family?" I asked.
"Yes, I got tired of the pre-cooked meals so I decided to read some cookbooks that my grandmother had and started."
"Oh, that's sweet, Park."
"Hehe, thanks."
"Sorry for asking Miss Choi but what are you going to do about the situation with your husband?"
I paused for a moment but I knew what answer I had.
"Divorce him," I said coldly and calmly.
"I see, sorry to ask again but how long had you and your husband been together?" Park asked.
"Heh, we met back in high school but we hadn't talked to each other until college began, we were both in the same engineering class and I always noticed him studying really hard and quietly in the class."
"He had such a cold demeanor on his face, I guess that was the reason why I fell in love with him in the first place."
"Two months went by, and I had enough courage to ask him to be his girlfriend and he immediately said yes."
Park, sat and listened to the happy memories of my first love.
"We're going on dates, studying together, saying I love you to one another, and meeting each other's parents, and immediately after graduating from college, we've gotten married."
"It sounds cliché, but I was happy."
"But sadly I was too naïve to notice." I got up from the table and walked to the wedding photo.
"I was too blinded by love to notice that he never cared about me in the first place."
"Miss Choi…."
"Stupid. I was so stupid." Tears begin to come out of my eyes.
"Not even the times we had sex he cared about me. I hate it…."
I grabbed the wedding photo.
"Not even at our wedding did he care about me!"
SMASH
With all my strength I smash the wedding photo on the floor, breaking it into pieces.
"He never did!"
"He never did!"
Unexpectedly, Park hugged me from behind.
"Miss Choi, please stop." He hugged me tighter. "I'm sorry for making you remember hurtful memories. I'm sorry."
"But," he turned me around and wiped the tears from my eyes. "You can find that love again Miss Choi."
"*Sniff* I-I can?"
"Of course, because in this world everyone loves somebody."
"So please don't be angry anymore. Forget all those hurtful memories and love again."
For the first time in my life, I was looking at an angel. My angel, he was here to set me free from Rusty chains.
I hugged Park.
"Everything's gonna be okay, Miss Choi. Trust me." he hugged me back and gently patted my head.
"Park."
"Yes, Miss Choi?"
"Please, help me forget."
"Huh?"
I was blushing but I made a Great choice.
I grabbed Park's hand and pressed it against my breast.
"H-Huh!?!??!?" he was appalled.
"Please help me forget these painful memories."
God, thank you for giving me an angel.
