The maids looked at the black-haired baby they were caring for. But he continued to cry, making them nervous. Just when they finally got him settled, another problem came knocking at their door.
Lady Sera opened the door and immediately headed for the black-haired baby.
Caelis saw her and immediately turned his head away, causing Lady Sera to feel like she had been scoffed at.
'How dare a mere baby…! No, I need to calm down. This baby will become mine soon. I need to treat him well.'
With gentle hands, she reached for the baby, only to be stopped by the maids.
"I am afraid that you do not have permission to touch him, Lady Sera. Please head back now before we are forced to make a complaint about you."
The maids told her clearly, but Lady Sera frowned.
"Why can't I come and look at my baby? He's going to be mine anyway, so I might as well bond with him."
