"Careful."
It was Ariel who spoke.
He stood up, his body fully healed, then walked towards Uriel, taking a single step, vanishing, then reappearing beside him without touching any of the runes or energy filaments.
The two brothers stood side by side, staring out at the stretching field of ghosts and flaming halos sprawled around them.
Uriel threw Ariel a glance. "Would you look at that? Sir Pouty isn't sulking anymore, hm?"
Ariel's lip twitched and he shook his head. "I come in peace and you immediately antagonise me with that sharp tongue of yours."
"Such a stupid diva."
Uriel smiled. "Diva…" he muttered. "I like that name. It has a kick to it."
Ariel resisted the urge to roll his eyes. It seemed that in the years they'd been separated, his little brother had somehow grown even more eccentric.
Where had the innocent crybaby he once sheltered gone?
At the thought, he could only sigh.
"You knew," Ariel suddenly said.
Uriel nodded, though he didn't turn to face him. "Mhm."
