Chapter 4 - part 4

As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, the world around them melted away. The setting sun cast a warm glow over the lake, and the city lights began to twinkle like stars. Yoon felt a sense of belonging, as if she had finally found the missing piece of her puzzle. Jungkook's arms tightened around her, holding her close.

Jungkook : I'm so grateful for that day at the bookstore, he whispered, his breath tickling her ear. I never believed in fate, but I think I was meant to meet you.

Yoon : I feel the same way, she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. she smiled, her heart overflowing with emotions. As they stood there, lost in the moment, they both knew that their lives would never be the same. They had found each other, and nothing else mattered. The stars began to shine brighter, and the city sounds faded into the background. All that remained was the gentle lapping of the water against the shore and the beating of their hearts.

Let's take a walk around the lake, Jungkook suggested, his eyes sparkling with mischief. The stars are shining bright, and the night is young. Yoon nodded, feeling a sense of excitement and adventure. Hand in hand, they strolled around the lake, taking in the beauty of the night. They talked about their dreams, their passions, and their fears. As the night wore on, they found themselves at a small, secluded spot overlooking the lake. Jungkook turned to her , his eyes locked on hers. I want to know everything about you, he said, his voice filled with sincerity. I want to be the one you turn to, the one you trust. Her heart skipped a beat. She felt like she was home, like she had found her safe haven. I'd like that, she replied, her voice barely above a whisper and as they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, they both knew that their journey together had just begun.

As Yoon prepared to leave, she waved goodbye to Jungkook. Don't say goodbye, he said, his voice low and husky. This one means forever. Yoon smiled and replied, Okay, catch you later. Before she could turn away, Jungkook surprised her with a gentle kiss on the cheek. Yoon's face flushed, and she was left speechless.

When she arrived home, her friend Anya noticed the change in her behaviour. Where did you go? Anya asked, eyeing Yoon's flushed cheeks and why are you smiling like an idiot?

Yoon tried to play it cool, but her friend wasn't buying it. You won't understand, you're still single, she teased.

Anya raised an eyebrow. And you're committed? I thought you were single.

Yoon chuckled. That was yesterday. Today is a new day.

Anya's curiosity was piqued. What about today? Did something happen with that mysterious guy?

Yoon's smile grew wider. Let's just say I accepted him. And I'm exhausted, so I'm going to bed.

Anya's questions followed Yoon to her room, but she just laughed and shut the door behind her, still feeling the warmth of Jungkook's kiss on her cheek.

As Jungkook walked down the street, he couldn't shake off the goofy grin on his face. Passersby gave him curious glances, whispering among themselves, What's gotten into him? But Jungkook didn't care he was lost in his own little world, replaying the moments with Yoon.

The next day, Yoon entered the living room, where her friends were gathered, waiting for her. Ren blocked her path, teasing, Where did you disappear to last night? and why were you late? Yoon playfully replied, None of your business Ren chuckled, I don't have any business, huh? The group burst in laughter, and Yoon joined in. Ren's tone turned serious, Seriously, Yoon, do you know anything about that guy? Where did he come from? Yoon's expression softened, We were meant to be. He's my destiny, and I'm his. Ren's concern was palpable, but Yoon reassured him, I know what I'm doing. Anya intervened, "Hey, guys, let's not ruin the mood. Chill guys,The group nodded in agreement, and the tension dissipated. Yoon smiled, feeling grateful for her friend's support.
