Summer, with its warm climate and refreshing sea breeze, was the breeding season for sea monsters.
And the pristine coast of the Black Dragon territory happened to be the ideal new breeding ground chosen by the migrating sea monster herd.
After several months of reproductive efforts, the number of sea monsters coming ashore had now doubled compared to the beginning, the sandy beach pitch-black with massive silhouettes.
Not to mention the recently born sea monster pups crawling all over the place, needing their parents' protection as they could not yet survive on their own.
In terms of appearance, these newborn sea monster pups had a huge difference compared to adult sea monsters.
Their bodies still had a thick layer of gray fuzz that hadn't shed yet to keep them warm. Some even grew stubby limbs instead of fins, looking less like marine creatures and more like young land beasts such as seals or water bears.
