Chapter 73 - Chapter 73: I Can’t Pretend to Be a God, But I’m Good at Playing Tricks!

Steve Rogers lifted Blade and glanced at the pool of blood below before tossing him directly into it.

The dying vampire hunter instantly came alive after coming into contact with the blood. He began gulping it down greedily.

Being a half-vampire himself, Blade could recover from severe injuries by consuming blood.

In just moments, his wounds closed and bones repaired. His recovery speed was even faster than that granted by the Super Soldier Serum!

Steve noticed a health bar above Blade's head — now only half full.

"Blade, go ahead. I'll support you from behind," Steve said as he activated his Vampire Aura, adding Blade to the aura's benefit list.

Then, he tossed him a pair of sunglasses.

Blade caught them and put them on. "Captain, why do I feel like you're playing tricks on me?"

Steve gave him a side glance. He simply didn't want to do all the fighting himself. It wasn't that he couldn't win — but if he did everything alone, the system wouldn't reward him!

"I don't know much about pretending to be a god," Steve said with a smirk, "but I'm definitely good at playing tricks."

Vampires were also considered creatures of the night — or ghosts — and Nissa was the real expert in dealing with them.

Blade: ???

He looked at Steve strangely, then turned around, grabbed his sword, and charged toward Deacon Frost — afraid that if he was too slow, Steve might literally beat him up.

[Blade was afraid of being beaten by you, so he unleashed 120% of his combat power.]

Steve nearly spat out blood when he saw the system prompt.

Nonsense! He had no interest in men — don't slander him like that!

He activated both his Evil Aura and Bloodsucking Aura. His physical recovery accelerated, and defeating enemies would now also grant him a blood absorption effect.

Meanwhile, Blade and Chad Norma teamed up against Frost, who had evolved to near perfection. The two of them fought recklessly, trading blows and injuries — after all, they could recover by sucking blood.

Now wasn't the time to question why.

Steve calmly walked up the steps and found his cheap father-in-law, North, lying on the ground. His spine was broken from a kick, and he was barely clinging to life.

"Why were you trying to capture me?" Steve asked.

North coughed up blood, his voice weak. "Your blood… can improve the vampire gene."

That's it?

[North is telling the truth.]

Steve looked at the system prompt thoughtfully. On a nearby shelf, bottles of pale yellow liquid caught his attention — pure and crystal clear.

When he focused on them, the system automatically displayed their names and descriptions:

[Vampire Gene Serum (Incomplete): Requires the following — Blood God Rama's blood (Deacon Frost), Xenomorph Vampire Blood (Chad Norma), Blade's blood, and the Super Soldier Serum — to create the complete formula.]

"Hiss…" Steve took a sharp breath.

He hadn't expected the system to directly reveal the method to complete the serum.

This shortcut was faster than years of scientific experimentation! In terms of assistance, this system ability was top-tier!

"Why not give it a try?" he muttered.

Without hesitation, Steve picked up a syringe and moved instantly.

Frost had just knocked Blade and Chad Norma aside and was preparing to give chase — when suddenly, a heavy boot slammed onto his face, pinning him to the ground.

No matter how he struggled, he couldn't move.

Steve bent his arms and legs back with ease, then plunged a needle into him.

"Ahhh!" Frost screamed as Steve quickly drew his blood and dashed away.

Frost was utterly dumbfounded. What had just happened?

"Brother, mind if I borrow some blood?" Steve asked casually.

Blade: …

Chad Norma: …

After drawing blood from all three, Steve ran off again.

Both his allies and his enemy were speechless.

Was this really Captain America?

Why did it feel like he was playing a completely different game?

"Don't just stand there — keep fighting him!" Steve shouted as he worked.

Outside, the King's Guard and S.H.I.E.L.D. special forces were still engaged in fierce gunfire with the vampires. Everyone was busy doing their part… except the Captain, who was clearly slacking off.

Steve drew a sample of his own blood and began mixing it with the serum.

The different liquids reacted violently, bubbling and changing colors.

The system prompted him to add several more materials — all conveniently available in the lab.

After a few minutes, the pale yellow liquid gradually turned pure white and crystal clear.

[Vampire Gene Potion: Allows pure-blood vampires to evolve, greatly enhancing strength, speed, and lifespan. Grants complete immunity to silver, weapons, and ultraviolet light.]

"Perfect."

The experimental result North had dreamed of achieving for years was completed by Steve in minutes.

Steve's eyes gleamed as he looked at the three vampires — his priceless test subjects.

The trio, who were still mid-battle, suddenly felt a chill run down their spines.

Oh no! They could feel Steve's strange, hungry gaze — like a predator eyeing prey.

"Don't even think about catching me!"

Frost kicked Blade away, blocked Chad Norma's punch, and tore the man's arm off with brutal strength. He then went for the kill.

Frost's transformation had made him far stronger than before — faster, tougher, immune to viral infection.

Boom!

Steve's vibranium shield slammed into him, knocking him back several steps.

Steve caught the shield as it returned, locking eyes with Frost.

"Steve! You killed my wife! I'll kill you!" Frost roared.

When enemies met, hatred flared. Frost lunged forward and punched with the strength of five tons—

Bang!

His fist smashed against the vibranium shield, and the rebound shattered his own bones.

Steve retaliated by snapping Frost's arm, kicking his leg, and twisting his limbs together like a pretzel.

"Blade, bring me that box of syringes. Brother-in-law, go recover in the blood pool."

Blade grumbled, "How are you this strong?"

He had thought their gap wasn't that big — but once again, the Captain proved that the man who fought Thanos wasn't just talk.

"You bastard! You can't kill me! If I die, I'll curse your whole family!" Frost screamed hysterically.

Steve ignored him and inserted another syringe.

Frost's words turned into a shriek as his veins bulged and his face contorted in pain.

Steve didn't stop — he was busy extracting blood for research.

He already had Nissa's serum ready, but not yet Wei Lian's. Better to prepare more in advance — after all, a responsible husband should ensure his wives were safe and strong.

Unlike modern men who denied everything afterward, Steve Rogers stood for traditional virtue — a man who truly cared about his family.

As expected of Captain America!

Frost's screams grew weaker and weaker.

By the time Steve finished the third box of syringes, Frost could barely twitch.

Frost: My family… you won't believe this — but I was sucked to death by a man!
