Which husband in his right senses would let his wife leave the palace unchaperoned?
Which husband would do that while knowing they both had enemies lurking around, waiting for the right time to attack?
If there were husbands like that then I wasn't one of them.
Lauren may not care but I do and I do not mind putting kingdom duties on hold as long as she is safe.
Currently, I was on a deep brown horse as I followed from afar while making sure not to lose track of them.
When they left last night, I had told Chadwick I would be retiring to my chamber and made him believe so but I took that opportunity to leave the palace.
Now here I was, several hours into daytime, following them without their knowledge.
I had covered my body with a long cloak which had a hood and my nose down to my chin was covered with a bandana so no one would recognize me since I was now a crowned king.
