I quickly hurried back to my room after lunch because I had a lot to think about, especially with the situation I had just gotten myself into.
But on my way to my room, I came across Peter's cousin and spy, Eric.
"Princess Ruby," he swiftly acknowledged my presence and gave a polite bow.
I bowed back with a small smile gracing my lips to show my humility.
"Greetings, Sir Eric. Have you gone to meet with your cousin?"
At my inquiry, he shook his head and was still smiling but it was subtle.
"I shall meet with her much later or probably tomorrow. For now she should rest."
Father was the one who brought Eric to Peter and introduced them before the bond began to grow.
I wouldn't say Peter was as close to Eric as he was close to father but they had a relationship that was respectful and understandable.
"Good idea. Where are you headed?" I asked because it was obvious he was going somewhere before I obstructed him.
