"It's my mother's ghost! She is here!"
Ruby fearfully said as she hurried to meet me while trembling in fear.
On getting close, I held her on both shoulders and steadied her so I could follow what she was saying.
"What exactly did you see, Ruby?"
But she shook her head and was crying so I pulled her close and comforted her because it was the only thing I could do for now but I made a mental note to check for myself.
Once she had calmed down a little, I pulled away softly and instructed her.
"Go back to the ballroom and stay in the crowd until I come back."
She gave a vigorous nod and was already ready to leave, although she said,
"If you see her then I am not hallucinating."
I frowned but didn't comment on it.
