Just like Zade had warned him, he really was late that night.

In a stubborn bid to prove to no one in particular that he had better things to do than wait around, Rai had decided to finish an assignment before going to bed. The fatal mistake came when he decided to set his books aside and work from the sofa, lying down.
He shouldn't have laid down and made himself comfortable from the start. The second his eyes grew heavy, his body surrendered, and he passed out cold with the laptop still open and resting on his lap.
When Zade finally unlocked the front door well past midnight, he was greeted by the soft, blue glow of a sleeping screen and Rai, fast asleep on the couch.
