Shawn muttered the words under his breath, his voice barely carrying over the low, rhythmic drone of the bus engine.
Zade hummed in soft agreement. His eyes drifted downward, examining Rai, who had succumbed to a deep sleep yet again. Rai's head was resting heavily against Zade's arm, their shoulders pressed tight, both of them leaning into each other as the vehicle swayed.
"The chief finally made a good decision not to go around places on the first day," Shawn continued, stretching his arms toward the luggage rack above before letting out a massive, contagious yawn.
"Everyone can just crash once we hit the hotel. Phew. I am already exhausted just sitting all these hours in this bus."
Shawn shifted in his seat, trying to find a comfortable angle on the worn upholstery.
