Jasper truly hadn't expected it.
Of all people, the usually composed and proper Prince Vincent apparently knew how to play quite boldly too.
Under the collective scrutiny of Yuel and the others, Vincent stood stiffly at the doorway, unable to move forward or retreat.
At last, he understood. He had overthought everything.
When Rory said they would "watch over Terry," she had meant exactly that. Nothing more.
"Vincent, come in already."
Seeing him frozen awkwardly at the door, Rory walked over herself and gently pulled him into the room, easing the tension for him.
Thankfully, Vincent had worn a military uniform instead of one of Yuel's outrageous outfits. Otherwise, this would have been even more embarrassing.
"Rory, I…"
Dragged into the room by her hand, Vincent's ears flushed scarlet. He felt genuinely guilty.
Rory had innocently suggested everyone stay together to watch over Terry, yet his mind had wandered somewhere entirely inappropriate.
