"What's wrong, Trunks?" Bulma asked when she saw him standing in the yard in a daze.
"No… it's nothing, Mom!"
Trunks quickly snapped out of it. He decided to talk about it another day.
"Oh!"
Bulma looked only half-convinced.
That Afternoon
Gohan let Goten and the others train on their own. Meanwhile, he used the Heaven-Reaching Mirror to travel three years into the future to the battlefield where Vegito fought Super Buu.
Because he was using the Invisibility Technique, neither the newly fused Vegito nor Super Buu noticed him.
Gohan had come for two reasons.
First, now that he had mastered Super Saiyan 4, he at least had some ability to protect himself.
Second, he wanted to observe Vegito and collect the energy of the Seed of the Universe.
As the undisputed King of Posturing in the Dragon Ball world, Vegito's strength aside, his style alone was legendary.
As a Dragon Ball fan who had transmigrated into this world, Gohan naturally wanted to witness it firsthand.
Kaioshin Realm
The East Supreme Kai watched Vegito's appearance with extreme nervousness.
"Goku!"
Earth
Vegito loosened his limbs casually.
"This is truly fantastic, even better than I imagined!"
Hearing this, Super Buu dispersed the Energy Wave he had been condensing.
"It looks like you're scared too, aren't you?"
Vegito casually swung his right hand forward, sending out a sharp gust of wind. Since Super Buu did not dodge, a clean cut opened across his face.
"How about that? There's nothing for you to be afraid of!"
Super Buu snorted coldly and healed the wound instantly.
"Since it's the fusion of Goku and Vegeta, let's call him Vegito!"
"I was just worried about how things would turn out, but it looks like they're going pretty well!"
"Alright, let's keep fighting!"
Super Buu sneered and said, "Do you really think that just because you fused, you can defeat me?"
Vegito smiled and beckoned him over.
Enraged by the provocation, Super Buu charged forward.
Just as he was about to reach Vegito, Vegito leaped into the air, appeared behind him, spun around, and delivered a powerful flying kick.
Super Buu turned just in time to take the kick directly to the face.
"Ah!"
He cried out as his head snapped back and his body plummeted downward.
Vegito followed up with another heavy kick, sending Super Buu crashing toward the ground.
Before hitting the earth, Super Buu stabilized himself midair and rushed back at Vegito, throwing both fists at his face.
Bang bang bang!
Super Buu pummeled Vegito's face before circling behind him and kicking him in the back. A booming explosion followed as smoke filled the battlefield.
Super Buu gathered a massive Energy Wave and hurled it downward.
Boom!
The ground exploded, leaving behind a deep crater dozens of meters wide.
Vegito stood inside the crater, smiling as he looked up at Super Buu.
Super Buu gritted his teeth in fury.
Watching from afar, Gohan sighed.
"The King of Posturing truly lives up to his name. These lines alone are worth studying!"
"System, are you recording this?"
"It is already being recorded, Master!"
"That hit just now did hurt a little!"
Vegito rubbed his shoulder casually.
"I was holding back on purpose!" Super Buu retorted.
With a shout, Super Buu stretched his arms downward to grab Vegito.
Vegito leaped upward to counterattack, but Super Buu flicked the antenna on his head forward, wrapping it around Vegito's ankle.
Startled, Vegito was swung around several times before being hurled violently into a mountain.
Boom!
Dust and rubble exploded everywhere.
"What? You didn't die from that, did you?" Super Buu mocked.
Golden light suddenly burst from beneath the rubble, shattering the stones apart.
Vegito stepped out, rolling his shoulder.
"Alright, the warm-up is over!"
Super Buu smirked with anticipation. Despite his irritation, he also enjoyed battle, just like Goku. The only difference was that he could not tolerate anyone being stronger than him.
"I wasn't used to this body before, but now I'll fight you seriously!"
"Good. If you died that easily, it would've been disappointing!"
Super Buu laughed.
"The real show starts now!" Vegito declared confidently.
Both of them took fighting stances.
Vegito kicked off the ground and shot into the sky. In the blink of an eye, he appeared directly in front of Super Buu.
Before Super Buu could react, a massive fist smashed into his face.
Bang!
Super Buu's head snapped to the side as saliva flew from his mouth.
Vegito followed up with a barrage of heavy punches, driving Super Buu backward through the air.
Then Vegito kicked him away and immediately gathered a blue Energy Wave in both hands.
Boom!
The attack detonated in the sky, producing a blinding flash and thick smoke.
Super Buu fell from the smoke, one arm and the lower half of his body blown away, leaving him in a miserable state.
"You… you brat!" Super Buu roared in fury.
From a distance, Gohan watched calmly.
"Lord Old Supreme Kai was right. The power after fusion really is immense!"
