Chapter 124 - Going Public [PART 2]

Her eyes lit up.

"We'll do it like we used to. Let's see... top ten? No, top 100. Yes, that should be a good amount."

She smiled brightly.

"Top 100 donors will get special signed copies by me - with their name on it!"

She tilted her head.

"That should be good, right?"

[WanderingKnight]: THANK YOU FAIRY

[SleepyPanda99]: too kind 😭😭😭

[LonelyFisherman]: forgive me brothers... that top spot is mine

[GamingLord]: @LonelyFisherman not if i get there first

[CloudChaser]: @RandomViewer_42 bro you're going too far

[NightOwl42]: only the rich can afford the fairy 😔

[sleepy_penguin]: us poor fans can only watch from the sidelines

[BubbleTeaAddict]: pain

Su Yue clapped her hands together.

"Anyway! As I was saying, today is going to be a little different."

She gestured to her setup.

"In addition to selling the albums, I'm also going to..."

She paused for dramatic effect.

"That's right - play some games!"

[GamingLord]: LETS GOOOOOO

[SnackKing]: GAMER FAIRY CONFIRMED

[MidnightWanderer]: what game what game

[NightOwl42]: play League!

[WanderingKnight]: Genshin!

[SleepyPanda99]: King of Glory!!!

[CloudChaser]: horror games pls

Su Yue laughed and waved her hand.

"Thank you for the recommendations, but this is my first time playing, so I can't play those games you're suggesting."

She turned to her other monitor and opened the Game Store page, sharing her screen.

"There's actually a game I found interesting and wanted to play."

She scrolled to the page.

"In fact, it may or may not be made by someone I know."

[LonelyFisherman]: ???

[MidnightWanderer]: someone she knows???

[BubbleTeaAddict]: fairy knows game devs?

"The game is called Fool's Gambit."

She smiled at the camera.

"It's actually quite good."

[GamingLord]: never heard of it

[SnackKing]: is this an ad

[CloudChaser]: here we go again

[NightOwl42]: if fairy says its good then its good

[SleepyPanda99]: trusting the fairy blindly

Off to the side, Mengqi watched the stream unfold.

Her eyes narrowed slightly as realization dawned.

She opened her mouth to speak…

Then stopped.

She let out a long sigh.

This guy is quite scheming.

Is that why he didn't want to be here when this happened?

What a cheeky bastard.

At the same time.

Lin Feng stood in a waiting room, he smiled as he watched the stream from his phone.

The door opened behind him.

He turned to see the chairman enter, also well-dressed in formal attire.

"How is it going?" Lin Feng asked.

The chairman showed a thumbs up.

At that moment, the door opened again.

A woman in professional attire stepped in.

"Mr. Lin, Chairman Wu."

They turned to look at her.

"Please follow me."

The studio lights were bright.

Lin Feng sat in a cushioned chair, a small microphone clipped to his lapel. Across from him, Chairman Wu Zhennan occupied a similar seat. Between them, the host - a middle-aged woman with a professional smile - reviewed her notes.

A makeup assistant made final adjustments to the chairman's face. Another offered Lin Feng a touch-up, which he declined.

The set was designed to look warm and inviting. Soft lighting, potted plants, a low table with glasses of water. The kind of environment meant to put guests at ease.

It's all very calculated, Lin Feng thought.

But then again, so was he.

The floor director counted down.

"Five... four... three..."

He pointed at the host.

She smiled at the camera.

"Good evening, and welcome to Hangzhou Tonight. I'm your host, Chen Liling."

She turned toward her guests.

"Tonight, we have a special segment on one of Hangzhou's rising young entrepreneurs. Joining me are Chairman Wu Zhennan of Zhejiang Business University, and Lin Feng, founder of Fenghua Holdings."

She gestured toward them.

"Thank you both for being here."

"Thank you for having us," the chairman replied.

Lin Feng nodded. "Happy to be here."

The host began with the chairman.

"Chairman Wu, let's start with how this all began. How did you first meet Lin Feng?"

The chairman settled into his chair.

"It was during our Outstanding Citizen Award ceremony last October. Lin Feng had intervened in a serious incident on campus - protected a victim, got them help, and later provided crucial testimony."

He paused.

"I was impressed. Not just by what he did, but by how he carried himself afterward. He wasn't looking for recognition. He just did what he believed was right."

The host nodded. "And that's when you decided to invest in him?"

"After the ceremony," the chairman confirmed. "I asked to speak with him privately. We talked for over an hour - about his background, his goals, his vision for the future."

He smiled.

"By the end of that conversation, I knew I wanted to support him. So I made a personal investment - 250,000 yuan from my own savings."

The host's eyebrows rose slightly. "That's a significant amount."

"It was," the chairman agreed. "But I believed in him. And as you can see…" he gestured toward Lin Feng "...that belief was well-placed."

The host turned to Lin Feng.

"Mr. Lin, what did that investment mean to you at the time?"

Lin Feng considered the question.

"Everything," he said simply. "I came from a poor family. Scholarship student. Before that investment, I couldn't even afford a smartphone."

He paused.

"Chairman Wu's support gave me the starting capital I needed. Without it, none of this would exist."

The host leaned forward slightly. "Tell us about what you've built."

Lin Feng nodded.

"Fenghua Holdings is the parent company. Beneath it, I have shares in three main businesses."

He held up a finger.

"First, Xunfeng Delivery. We started on campus - students delivering snacks and essentials to other students. Now we're expanding into Hangzhou proper. We're hiring part-timers across the city."

A second finger.

"Second, Tianji Capital. It's a quantitative investment fund. We use algorithmic trading to generate returns for our investors. We just passed over two million AUM the other day. It's a little small for now, but it's growing steadily."

A third finger.

"Third, an entertainment agency." He paused. "We manage talent."

The host's eyes lit up.

"Talent? Anyone we might know?"

Lin Feng allowed himself a small smile.

"Have you heard of Moon Fairy?"
