Yesterday morning, Ashrik resumed his journey. He had flown farther east before returning to the space near dusk. Throughout the time, nothing happened involving Genesis again.
Once again, Lucille encouraged Ashrik to take it easy after days of chaos. Understanding that she meant well, he allowed himself to seize the peace. But only after making sure she was well.
Now Ashrik gathered with Lucille and the others in the yard, enjoying their lunch. Bowls and plates of tasty and bountiful dishes took up almost the entirety of the table.
The sun illuminated the entire lawn, bathing everyone in its warmth. The two mutated Pekingeses sat on the lush grass, also devouring their big bowls of food.
"The food tastes even more amazing ah," Isaac said as he tore into a chunk of grilled meat. "But yesterday was better. We should get ambushed more often."
