Julian finally stopped talking.
That alone honestly felt unreal enough to make me stare at him for a second just to confirm it was actually happening.
The second Ezra agreed to spar with Kyle, all of Julian's attention completely shifted away from us and attached itself directly to the training field like his brain had found a new obsession to feed on.
Which meant—
Peace.
Finally.
I stood there beside the edge of the training grounds, watching Julian practically vibrate with excitement while he dragged Ezra toward the center area, talking the entire time loudly.
"Oh my God, this is gonna be amazing."
Ezra looked completely calm beside him.
Kyle, on the other hand, glanced at me for half a second.
And that was when I realized exactly why he had done it.
Not because he desperately wanted to fight Ezra.
Not because he wanted to prove something.
He did it to distract Julian.
So Julian would stop interrogating us.
