-Vaughn Blackmore:
I woke up to someone shaking my shoulder hard enough to drag me violently out of sleep.
"Blackmore."
I groaned immediately, my face still buried deep in the pillow, every muscle in my body feeling heavy and warm and exhausted in the worst way possible. My brain hadn't even fully turned on yet, and already someone was bothering me.
"No, five minutes," I mumbled into the pillow.
A hand grabbed my shoulder again and shook me harder this time.
"Get up."
I cracked one eye open with actual pain.
The room was bright.
Way too bright.
Morning light spilled through the windows in thick golden streaks, hitting directly across the bed and forcing me to squint immediately. My entire body protested the movement the second I tried to shift even slightly beneath the blankets. Every inch of me still felt sore and heavy from yesterday, my limbs warm and sluggish with leftover exhaustion.
I blinked slowly, still half unconscious, before finally managing to look upward.
