An Jin knocked hesitantly on the door. "Mi Yin, are you in there?"
There was no response. 'Strange, did he go out hunting?' she wondered. 'With his lazy personality, he doesn't seem like the type to go hunting in this heat.'
An Jin stood at the door for a long time, her mind racing. She didn't know if she should call out to him again.
A short while later.
She heard the sound of a snake's tail slithering.
Then, a faint "mhm" came from inside the room.
An Jin grew puzzled. "Why didn't you say anything just now?"
"I was sleeping. I didn't hear you."

Outside the door, the light footsteps unique to a female sounded, then grew more and more distant.
