The four remained frozen there, staring at the dark corridor ahead of them. Time seemed to pass more slowly than usual, the seconds dragging on as the hairs on their bodies stood on end.
"What the hell is this shit!?"
Julian was the first to break the silence, his hands wrapped tightly around the hilt of his sword until the tips of his fingers turned white, growing more and more impatient.
"Weird, it just looks like a standard dark elf base…" Nox retorted, glancing around.
'What the hell happened here… damn it!' Kaiser thought, feeling a growing sense of unease. He had clearly noticed he wasn't the only one feeling it. Even Jasper had gone into maximum alert mode.
A silhouette appeared in the shadows. It advanced slowly. "Get out…" it muttered in a trembling voice.
The creature finally stepped out of the darkness.
Julian stood with his mouth open.
"Am I dreaming or what…"
