"I'm gonna ask Jamie to go out with me."
Matt, who was halfway under a car, jerked upright in surprise and immediately smacked his head against the engine.
"Fuck, that's going to bruise." He swore and slid out from under the car, rubbing his head.
"Idiot." Jett chuckled, looking at his friend's oil covered face.
"What did you say just now?" Matt asked, it ignoring Jett's jab.
"That you're an idiot?"
"No no, before that."
"I wanna ask Jamie out?"
"Yeah, that." Matt snapped his fingers. "I knew you guys had something going on, but I didn't think you'd gone this far."
Jett scoffed and leaned back against the workbench.
"Does he like you?" Matt asked.
"I'm not even sure, he confuses me." Jett replied.
Matt stared at him like he'd just admitted he had a tail and couldn't read.
"Just tell Jamie you like him man, it's that simple." Matt shrugged.
"Like him??" Jett repeated, almost offended.
"Yeah I mean, the worse he can say is no, right?"
