After Conrad turned back to his cave, he sat down on the ground and closed his eyes for a moment to rest his mind.
It was good that Izbis did not want anything from him, as he would not like to be involved in these matters.
It was risky, and the knowledge he may earn from it is not worth it for the time being.
Conrad knew that there were a lot of places in the known world that he did not know and experience. There is no need to make it in haste.
He still has a lot of time, and time works for him and not against him.
The more time he has, the more aura he will gather and the more abilities he will have; as long as he keeps his calm and does not make risky decisions, everything will be good.
Right now in his eyes, making a move that involves the "Dark Continent" and "Dark Continent Beings" with unorthodox use of "Nen" and who knows how much power in disposal does not make sense.
"I am here to clear the condition."
"In the future, I may return and then look for Izbis and then find a way to help him.
Conrad meditated and did nothing other than calm his mind and wishes.
He would be lying if he were to say he did not want to get involved.
But this is because of curiosity and not from a clear and robust point of view.
It was just a selfish desire to know more and learn more.
He did not want to risk death to learn more.
One week passed in a flash; other than leaving the cave for some time to look around and discover small things,
Conrad just trained in his cave and focused on his abilities.
When he was alone in the cave, he controlled his "Nen" to enhance his mastery over Nen.
He also started a new plan for the remainder of the time.
It was to do training of Biscuit, showing Killua and Gon while they were on Great Island.
The category training.
He delved into these matters for some time, but it was not that serious and was just for the basics; now he had time to focus on these matters.
He first started by using Gyo to crush rocks; in his first try, he managed to pass level one, and after reaching the number three thousand, the stone in his hands crumbled.
"Not bad..."
"But, I believe, I should be able to use one rock to crush ten thousand small rocks without the rock I use crumbling."
"When that happens, I will have a great deal of mastery over the enhancement category."
As said in the series, Conrad did not train in the Emitter category but waited for one day to pass.
Biscuit said that Killua and Gon were permitted to train one category per day, and he wanted to fit into it.
There is no reason not to follow what Biscuit said to the Gon and Killua.
As he thought about these things, Conrad looked at his watch and smiled.
"The exam is started at this point."
"Right now, in the original timeline, Gon and Killua meet with each other..."
"As well as forming a friendship with Kurapika and Leorio too."
"In no time, they should clear the exam, and after some time, they will arrive in 'Heavens Arena.'"
Conrad smiled as he thought about these; he believed he did not change any original storyline, which gave him an advantage if he wanted to do something about it.
Now that he wanted to meddle with it, anything but that he still kept in his mind.
The time passed in a flash; three weeks passed quickly, and Conrad left the cave and took a deep breath.
"I have fulfilled the condition of spending time in a poison environment."
"Next is spending time in hot or cold ground..."
Conrad went to the open area and met with Izbis.
"So?"
"You are leaving?" Izbis said.
Conrad nodded.
"I am leaving, but I may come back in the future to speak with you."
Izbis nodded.
"That is great."
Conrad then asked.
"Can I take mushrooms from here?"
Izbis nodded.
"You can."
"But it is said that these mushrooms too have a connection to the land, and when they leave the area, they die and turn into some sort of grain-like dust."
"Which makes it no reason to take."
Conrad nodded.
"I understand."
Conrad then left the valley, and then he left the Viridian Vein, as that is its original name.
He did not want to share what he learned in the Viridian Vein with the world. It makes no sense for humans to know about these things for the time being.
Conrad took a deep breath as he left the Viridian Vein and came to the exit; the guards who first welcomed him in looked at him.
"Sir..." The middle-aged guard who verified his identity looked at Conrad in fear and asked.
"I thought you left already..."
"How much time have you spent inside? He asked in bewilderment and shock.
Conrad smiled.
"About one month?"
The middle-aged soldier guard gulped.
"How?"
"How does a human being enter that wretched place with no protection and live inside without dying from the poison?"
Conrad shook his head and smiled at the man and then said.
"There are many different types of people."
"As well as many secrets that we don't know of, considering these realities, it is expected, don't you think?"
The middle-aged guard soldier wanted to say something, but no words came out from his mouth while Conrad left the general area.
The younger soldier came to the side of this commander and was shocked even more than the middle-aged soldier.
"Sir."
"What is that guy about?"
The middle-aged soldier laughed helplessly and said.
"There are monsters in this world..."
"They do not like when commoners look into their world."
"If one wants to live, it is better to live in the human world and not pry into the world of monsters."
The younger guard nodded and took a deep breath as he looked at the direction of Conrad for ten minutes before going back to his post.
