Chapter 221 - Three Hidden Regions - Chapter 221

"Now."

Conrad set the first "Creational Condition" for his next ability on the paper.

He needs to spend one month of time in poisonous, hot, and cold environments while feeling the threat and effects of these places as much as he can.

"This will make one get used to feeling these harmful effects."

"I need two more creational conditions for the ability to be really powerful."

Conrad, as time went on, kept on working on his theories at this point in NEN.

It is more of a matter of changing his perspective.

At first, he was understanding what there was, and now, he is discovering new applications of NEN.

Conrad wrote on a new piece of paper. It was not a creational condition but something else.

"Three types of conditions."

"Creational Conditions—Conditions that need to be met to create the ability in the first place."

"Activation Conditions—Conditions that need to be met to activate an existing ability."

"Sub-Conditions Within Ability": "Conditions that can be placed for a side effect inside of an existing ability."

Conrad took a deep breath and smiled.

"It is interesting but also hard to think."

He then started writing on another piece of paper.

"Creational Condition – 2"

"Find a relatively hard poison and work to help to cure it to some degree."

"Discover a location that generates heat naturally or create a heat-generating environment; if created, it needs to be used by the people for some time to be effective."

"Discover a location or a living creature that has the elements of cold nature; officially make it known that you discovered it."

After Conrad finished the second creational condition, he grinned helplessly.

"It is hard..."

"But if I don't think it is hard, it cannot be used for a condition in the first place."

Conrad then stopped for a moment.

"I think these two are already enough for creational conditions."

"After I finish these two, I can work on the third one if I think I do need it or just create the ability from there and use activation conditions with ancient script to use the ability as it is needed."

Conrad closed his eyes and then went on to his bed and slept for the night to rest.

The next morning, he ordered breakfast to his room and then used his hunter license to join the website of hunters and then started looking for three locations.

The first creational condition needed three different environments.

After some research, Conrad purchased the knowledge of three different locations that fit him.

These locations were mid-level danger locations to him in terms of threat level.

There are some other locations that are more dangerous, but Conrad believed he should not do that.

The Viridian Vein (Poison)

A vertical "chimney" forest located inside a massive, hollowed-out tree stump.

The air is saturated with Neuro-Spore Clouds released by the fungi at the bottom.

Country: The Republic of Rokario

Area: The Southern Archipelago, specifically the "Island of Dead Wood."

The Hearth-Stone Flats (Heat)

Country: The Begerossé Union

The Azian Continental Shelf, bordering the Gordeau Desert.

The Obsidian Plates are naturally occurring and act as heat sinks.

A vast field of geothermal vents and obsidian plates that absorb 99% of sunlight.

The ground is a patchwork of "hot spots" where the temperature fluctuates between 50°C and 200°C within centimeters.

The Glacial Cradle (Cold)

The Azabu State (North of the Kukan'yu Kingdom)

The permafrost belt, inside the ice-shelf delta.

Azabu is a desolate, frozen land where most life exists underground to escape the surface winds.

The Blue-Core Ice in the Cradle is ancient; it contains air bubbles from the era before the Great Calamities.

A deep subsurface cavern beneath a moving glacier. The walls are made of "Blue-Core Ice," which is so dense it never melts. The temperature is a constant, bone-chilling -40°C.

Conrad inspected all of these regions; most information he bought was not that hard to find. But the price was due to simply hidden notes for the hunters.

Viridian Vein had a creature and mushroom called "Viridian Mushroom and Viridian Lizard"; these are capable of producing dangerous poisons that work as a hallucinogen and are deadly in overdose, which is knowledge that is not public.

Hearth Stone Flats houses a rock-like creature named Hearteater that is capable of inducing a deadly amount of heat in its target's inside organs, boiling its targets from the inside out.

Glacial Cradle, on the other hand, had a natural glowing ice called "Mystery Ice"; it was capable of freezing the pure flame without any problem at all.

Inspecting this knowledge, Conrad thought for a moment and then said it.

"I would not be surprised if the origins of these existences, living beings, or objects are from the dark continent."

"In a sense, this mission I will take is a training ground for future dark-continent missions."

It is known that many magical beasts are ancestors from the Dark Continent in the first place.

These mysterious places that he collected all need privileges to enter in the first place.

If one does not belong to a reputable organization or give enough money, they are not permitted to enter in the first place.

Of course, as a hunter, Conrad would have no problem entering these places.

In a sense, all these three places at least have the same amount of hidden, protective defenses similar to Area 51 on Earth.

So, it is not that weird and unexpected that most people did not care about it.

Conrad laughed a little.

"When I was back on Earth, I only cared about my daily life and my future."

"I was not important or relevant enough to care about these kinds of mysterious things."

"It would not be too different in this world too."

"Most ordinary people care about their families and how much money they make, and that was it."

"Why would they want to go to these hellish places or care about them much?"

For them, the government saying it is forbidden is enough. It is enough to stop thinking about it."

Conrad took a deep breath and prepared a small bag for himself and then prepared for his first destination.
