Chapter 130 - The Friends Are Manipulated - Chapter 130

Conrad thought about who could have done this and how to get out of this event and find the enemy and kill him.

Adarte, who was waiting outside of the door, knocked on the door.

Conrad thought for a moment.

"Whoever is influencing them should not be that far away."

"Manipulator abilities most of the time have a range; it would be pretty hard to encounter a manipulator who can influence others from far distances."

"From targeting Adarte and Anisa, it is not that hard to see that whoever does this believes Adarte and Anisa to be enemies and then targets me."

"Anisa, Adarte, and I have two prominent points that we share together."

"It is that we are Heavens Arena Fighters, and we were a team when fighting against the Herivo Mafia Family."

While Conrad was thinking, Adarte knocked on it again.

Conrad readied himself and brandished the three orbs, and the orbs hid themselves in the corner of the room, ready to fight and activate with just an order from Conrad.

He opened the door and nodded.

"Come on in," he said to Adarte.

Adarte nodded and entered the room and went down to sit in his usual chair.

Conrad eyed Adarte and tried to understand what kind of a manipulator effect he is in and if there is any chance to separate the control of the manipulator.

After, Adarte sat down; he looked at Conrad, turning his head, and said.

"I would like a whiskey."

Conrad smiled and poured him a whiskey and then himself and sat in front of him, placing the glasses on the table in front of them.

Adarte then spoke.

"You came back fast; that was surprising for me."

"I trained while you were gone; would you like to see my progress?"

Conrad shook his head.

"I am not in the mood for training."

Adarte nodded and added.

"But believe me, if you saw my progress, you would be surprised."

Conrad let out a cold breath and then looked Adarte deep in the eye.

"Again…"

"He still talks about surprise and wants me to talk about being surprised and agree with him."

"At this point it is clear that "surprise" and "surprising" acts are conditions of a new ability."

Conrad then said.

"I have no wish to train right now, maybe another time?" he said, and as he said it, he took the cup of whiskey and then dropped it down to make it look like it slipped from his fingers.

The cup dropped on the ground and then broke into pieces in that moment. Conrad sent out his Pulse Orb outside of the room and then focused on it to start surveying the area.

He needed a moment of distraction to send the Pulse Orb outside of the room. Adarte was not in control and not the smartest fighter. But he was still a nen user; without a small distraction, it would be risky to send the Pulse Orb outside.

"You are clumsy." Adarte said in a robotic voice.

"You are surprising me, you know," he then added again with the word "surprise" there.

Conrad just smiled and said nothing. While Pulse Orb surveyed the hallways of his floor, Conrad closed his eyes for a moment, and then the orb radiated "Pulse," and the pieces of nen of himself hit the several areas.

"There you are," Conrad said as he noticed a man in a meditation position with a different kind of active nen.

The sense the man gave him when he was hit by the pulse was the same feeling he got from Adarte.

Conrad, after noticing the man and where he was, did not hesitate anymore.

In a sudden action, he moved, hitting the back of Adarte with a karate slash, enhancing his hand with Gyo.

Not enough to kill but enough to put Adarte, who is not expecting to be attacked, to sleep.

Adarte did not fight back or have any chance to defend as he dropped on the ground.

A second later, Conrad vanished from the seat, left his room, and then, in two more blinks, manifested in the room the man he knew was the manipulator.

"So."

"Are you going to tell me who sent you?"

Conrad asked as he looked at the man in a meditation position.

"You are good," the man said.

"I did not expect to be found out this quick."

Conrad looked pretty neutral and did not have the slightest emotion on his face.

"I am not in a mood to talk," he said. While he said these words, Aura Blast Orb slowly followed him from behind, hidden from the eyes, and White Death Orb had already destroyed the glass of his room and was waiting outside.

With one thought, he can order White Death Orb to shoot from outside and kill the man.

But he wanted to know the background of the man and cut the enemy from the root if it was possible.
