Chapter 5 - The Beginning of Rebirth

The Capsule Corporation was calm, almost unusually so.

No alarms. No repairs in progress. No chaotic inventions exploding in the background.

Just silence.

Inside the private living quarters, Bulma sat on a wide sofa, one hand resting lightly on her lower back while the other rested on her rounded belly.

Ninth month.

Almost time.

She let out a small breath, adjusting slightly to get more comfortable.

"…You're still active in there," she said casually, more like a scientist observing data than a worried mother.

A faint movement answered her.

Bulma glanced down and smirked a little.

"Yeah, yeah. I know. You don't like staying still."

Her tone wasn't emotional or exaggerated. It was calm, familiar—like she had already gotten used to this presence over months.

Across the room, Vegeta stood near the window with his arms crossed.

He wasn't watching directly, but he was aware.

He always was.

"Hmph," he muttered after a moment. "You're sitting too much."

Bulma didn't even look up immediately.

"I'm pregnant, Vegeta. Sitting is kind of part of the job right now."

Vegeta's expression didn't change, but he shifted his stance slightly.

"…Tch."

That was all he said.

Outside, Earth remained peaceful.

No battles. No enemies approaching.

Just a rare, quiet moment in a life that had rarely offered any.

But even in that calm…

Something was about to begin.

Bulma's expression shifted slightly.

She paused for a moment, her hand resting on her belly.

"…Huh," she muttered quietly.

It wasn't panic. Not yet.

Just a change she immediately recognized.

Vegeta noticed it instantly.

"What is it?" he asked, his tone sharp but controlled.

Bulma took a slow breath.

"I think… it's starting."

There was a brief silence.

Then Vegeta moved.

No unnecessary panic. No shouting.

Just action.

"Tch. Finally."

He stepped closer without hesitation.

"Can you move?"

Bulma nodded.

"Yeah, it's not that bad yet."

Vegeta clicked his tongue, already turning slightly.

"I'll take you."

Without wasting another second, he lifted her into his arms.

Bulma didn't resist. She adjusted calmly, trusting his speed more than any hospital transport.

Outside, Vegeta shot into the sky in an instant.

No dramatic explosion. No hesitation.

Just raw speed.

The Capsule Corporation building disappeared behind them as he flew directly toward the hospital at full control, careful not to jostle her despite his high velocity.

Bulma glanced up at him slightly.

"You know, you could at least look a little stressed."

Vegeta didn't even turn his head.

"Hmph. This is nothing."

But his grip was steady.

Precise.

Careful in a way he never admitted out loud.

Below them, the city blurred as they moved through the sky at impossible speed.

The hospital came into view quickly.

Within minutes, Vegeta landed directly at the entrance instead of wasting time at reception. A small gust of wind followed his arrival, making nearby people turn their heads in confusion.

Before anyone could react, he was already inside.

"Move," he said coldly to the staff blocking the way.

His tone wasn't loud, but it carried authority that made hesitation disappear instantly.

Bulma was carried inside immediately.

Doctors rushed in after recognizing her condition, quickly shifting into emergency procedure mode.

"Prepare the delivery room!"

"Vitals are stable but contraction is starting!"

"Call the support staff!"

Everything moved fast.

But controlled.

Inside the hospital, everything moved in controlled urgency.

"Contraction increasing!"

"Prepare the delivery!"

"Stay calm, Bulma!"

The medical staff moved quickly, but without panic. Capsule Corporation's hospital wasn't ordinary—it was built for high-level beings, emergencies, and situations that normal hospitals could never handle.

Bulma lay on the bed, breathing steadily, her expression focused rather than emotional.

"Seriously…" she muttered, exhaling slowly. "This is way more exhausting than building a time machine."

A nurse gave a nervous laugh but kept working.

Outside the delivery room, Vegeta stood with his arms crossed.

Silent.

Still.

But completely aware of everything happening inside.

Not panic.

Not fear.

Just presence.

"Tch…" he clicked his tongue once, shifting slightly.

---

Inside the womb…

Everything was quiet.

But not empty.

Awareness existed.

Not fully formed consciousness, but something far beyond instinct.

A soul observed the world around it.

The body it would soon inherit was weak.

New.

Incomplete.

But the existence inside was not.

So this is it…

The thought was calm.

No confusion.

No resistance.

Just understanding.

The system interface flickered faintly within this space of awareness.

---

[SYSTEM CORE LINK ESTABLISHED]

[SOUL STABLE]

[BODY COMPATIBILITY: 100%]

---

No restrictions… good.

The thought passed without hesitation.

Everything I had wished for was still present.

Power.

System.

Mall.

Travel authority.

All of it existed.

But not all of it could be expressed yet.

The body was still too new.

That was fine.

Time was irrelevant.

---

Delivery Room

"Now!"

The final moment arrived.

Bulma exhaled sharply, focusing completely.

"Just… hurry up already," she muttered.

The doctors moved in immediately.

"It's coming!"

"Prepare!"

The atmosphere tightened for a brief moment.

Then—

A cry echoed through the room.

A newborn child.

The first breath of a new existence.

Silence followed immediately after.

Then movement.

The baby was lifted carefully.

Healthy.

Stable.

Alive.

Bulma relaxed slightly, letting out a long breath.

"…That was annoying," she said honestly, before glancing at the child.

A small smile appeared.

"…But worth it."

---

Outside the room

Vegeta's eyes narrowed slightly the moment he sensed it.

The birth had completed.

He didn't move immediately.

Just stood there for a moment.

Then finally—

He stepped forward.

---

Inside the newborn body…

Everything changed.

Sound became real.

Light became real.

Touch became real.

The body was small.

Fragile.

But it was mine.

The system interface fully activated.

---

[SYSTEM BOOT COMPLETE]

[USER REBORN SUCCESSFULLY]

[STATUS: INFANT BODY – LIMITERS ACTIVE (PHYSICAL ONLY)]

---

I could feel it.

The world of Dragon Ball.

The real one.

Not imagination.

Not concept.

Reality.

Somewhere nearby… two powerful signatures existed.

One sharp, proud, controlled.

The other intelligent, calm, curious.

Vegeta.

Bulma.

My new parents.

I didn't move.

Couldn't.

But I understood everything.

This was only the beginning.

The system flickered once more.

---

[NEW LIFE STARTED]

---

And for the first time in this world…

I opened my eyes.
