Chapter 4 - The Final Wishes

Chapter 4: The Third Wish

The silence after my third wish felt different.

Not empty like before… but heavier. Like something fundamental had shifted again.

I stared forward, still processing what I had just done.

The System Mall.

Even now, I could feel it.

A vast, endless catalog sitting somewhere in my mind. It wasn't just a list—it felt like an entire reality compressed into a single interface I could access anytime.

Everything.

That word wasn't an exaggeration.

Everything truly meant everything.

The woman in front of me watched me quietly, her expression unreadable again.

"You're not even surprised anymore," she said.

I blinked.

"I am," I replied honestly. "I'm just… trying to keep up."

She gave a faint smile.

"That's rare."

I exhaled and rubbed my face.

"Let's just move on."

Three wishes left.

I had already crossed a point of no return. Whatever I became after this… there was no going back to being human.

Not really.

I looked at her again.

"Next wish."

She nodded slightly.

"Go ahead."

I hesitated only for a second.

This next wish was important.

The first wish gave me power.

The second gave me control.

The third gave me resources beyond imagination.

But there was still one thing missing.

Freedom.

True freedom.

Not just power inside one world… but the ability to move beyond it.

"I wish…" I said slowly, choosing my words carefully, "to have the ability to travel between different worlds, universes, timelines, and dimensions freely."

The woman raised an eyebrow slightly.

"Freely?"

"Yes."

I nodded.

"And without any consequences to me. No damage from space-time, no rejection from worlds, no backlash from reality itself."

I paused for a moment.

"I want to be able to enter and leave any world whenever I want."

Silence followed.

For the first time in a while, even she seemed to think seriously.

"That includes fictional worlds too?" she asked.

I didn't hesitate.

"Yes."

Another pause.

I could feel the weight of my words now.

If she accepted this… then everything would change.

Dragon Ball wouldn't be my only destination anymore.

Every anime. Every world I had ever imagined.

They would all become reachable.

The woman finally spoke.

"Very well."

She lifted her hand slightly.

"Wish accepted."

The moment she said that—

Something inside me shifted again.

Not violently.

Not dramatically.

But deeply.

Like a door had been unlocked somewhere in existence… and I was now holding the key.

A faint notification appeared in my vision.

[SYSTEM UPDATE DETECTED]

[NEW FUNCTION INTEGRATED: MULTIVERSE TRAVEL]

---

I exhaled slowly.

It worked.

All of it was real.

I clenched my fist slightly.

"Two wishes left…"

The woman tilted her head.

"Yes."

Now the atmosphere felt even more serious.

Because even she understood something now.

My wishes weren't random anymore.

They were building something layered.

Something dangerous.

Something unstoppable.

She looked at me directly.

"You are building yourself into something that even I will not be able to easily interfere with later."

I paused.

Then smiled slightly.

"That's kind of the point."

For the first time, she didn't respond immediately.

Instead… she laughed softly.

Not loud.

Not mocking.

Just amused.

"You really are interesting."

I took a breath.

"Let's continue."

She nodded.

"Your fourth wish?"

This one… was tricky.

I already had power, system, resources, and travel.

But there was still something I needed.

Protection.

Not from enemies.

But from consequences.

From mistakes.

From anything I couldn't predict.

"I wish…" I said slowly, "for absolute protection while traveling between worlds."

The woman narrowed her eyes slightly.

"Explain."

I thought for a moment.

"No matter what world I go to, no matter what force exists there—nothing should be able to permanently harm me or trap me against my will."

I paused.

"And if something does try, it should automatically fail or be corrected."

Silence.

Even the white space seemed still.

The woman stared at me for a long moment.

"That is almost like rewriting causality protection," she said.

I shrugged slightly.

"I just don't want to get killed the moment I step into a new world."

She sighed softly.

"Fair."

Then she raised her hand.

"Wish accepted."

[SYSTEM UPDATE COMPLETE]

[PASSIVE PROTECTION LAYER: ACTIVATED]

---

I felt it immediately.

A strange sense of stability.

Like no matter where I went… something would always adjust things in my favor.

I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding.

Four wishes done.

Only one remained.

The woman looked at me again.

"This is your last one."

I nodded.

"Yes."

For a moment, I stayed silent.

Because this final wish… would decide everything.

My origin.

My starting point.

My identity in the new world.

I already knew where I wanted to go.

Dragon Ball.

But I needed a perfect entry point.

A strong beginning.

Not as an outsider.

Not as someone weak.

But as someone who could grow from within that world itself.

I looked at her.

"My last wish…"

I paused.

Then said clearly:

"I wish to be reincarnated in the Dragon Ball world as the youngest child of Vegeta and Bulma."

Silence.

For the first time since I arrived here…

The woman didn't respond immediately.

She just stared at me.

"…You chose that family?" she asked slowly.

I nodded.

"Yes."

A faint, almost impressed expression appeared on her face.

"That is… surprisingly strategic."

I shrugged.

"I thought it fits."

She sighed lightly.

"Very well."

She lifted her hand one final time.

"Wish accepted."

---

And at that moment…

Everything went quiet.

No voice.

No screen.

No system notifications.

Just pure stillness.

Then she spoke softly.

"Your new life is about to begin."

I looked at her one last time.

"Anything else I should know?"

She shook her head slightly.

"Just one thing."

"You will not be the same person anymore once you are born there."

I smiled faintly.

"I guess I'll find out."

The white space around me started to fade.

Not suddenly… but slowly, like reality itself was dissolving.

I looked at the woman one last time.

"So this is it?" I asked.

She nodded slightly.

"Yes."

A brief silence followed.

Then she spoke again, calm as ever.

"When you are born there, things will be different. You'll experience everything as it comes."

I exhaled lightly.

"Sounds fair."

She smiled faintly.

"It always is."

I looked around one last time at the endless white space.

"Well… I guess this is goodbye for now."

She tilted her head slightly.

"For now."

I nodded.

"Yeah."

For some reason, I didn't feel fear.

Only anticipation.

The white world began to fade further… dimming like a distant memory.

The woman's voice echoed softly one last time.

"Let's see what kind of existence you become."

And then—

Everything disappeared.
