At first he thought this world was just the world of Orario, filled with adventurers, gods, and monsters.
But now, after more than a week of just mindlessly running into the dungeon and back.

The events of the anime and manga only spanned a total of eight months, so many different issues, calamities, and problems cropping up one after another.
And he was caught right in the middle of it all.
Worse yet… his own presence here meant he was a butterfly flapping its wings.

But unfortuneatly or perhaps fortuneatly as Neme walked out of the dungeon into the adventuerer square outside the tower distracted as he was with his thoughts he collided with a stationary figured who was just standing there watched the adventuers coming and going.

Both fell down as a result, but for Neme the fall also caused some of the contents of his large backpack to fall out onto the ground.
Scattering a number of golf ball sized magic stones.
Quickly realizing he'd been the source of the collision.
Neme got up to his knees profusely apologizing to the figure still laying on the ground before him.
"Im sorry, im sorry, I should have been watching where I was going… just had a long stint in the dungeon and im tired, I know that doesn't excuse me but…"
Before he could finish his machine gun apology the girl before him started to chuckle at his mannerism.
Dressed all in black sporting a hood.
He looked much more likely to be a bad guy and yet instead here he was the good guy just trying to do his best, and causing trouble as he went about his day.
"Don't worry, it's also my fault for standing there where I was."
She got to her feet dusting off her clothes.
From her height she was probably only about 10 years old, though her hood hid her head, so it was possible she was a beastman or even Prum making her age possibly much older but still appearing young.
Seeing that she indeed did not hold it against him, Neme also rose to his feet.
His eyes still locked on the young girl before him.
He couldn't help it, she just looked… familiar.
Not noticing his stare or perhaps nervous because of it the young girl, quickly moved about to collect the stones that had slipped from his bag, holding the stones in her hands as she offered them back to him.
Meanwhile in her heart she wished to keep hold of them herself as money… money was needed everywhere.
Accepting the stones being returned to him, Neme finally came to a conclusion but before he could voice his thoughts her clear voice sounded out instead.
"Hey mister, are you an adventuerer?"
"…"
"I see… well since it looks like you carry your own things would you like a supporter? I can carry your things for you?"
"…"
It really was her.
Seeing him just standing there staring at her, even after she asked him a pair of questions a sense of unease built up in the young girls heart.
She knew she had sinned before.
Under the orders of her Familia she had to gather as much valis as she could, all the while secretly saving up a portion to buy her freedom.
As a result she had on more than one occasion led a party of bad adventuerers to their deaths, selling the spoils and their weapons on the black market for profit.
"Ah… yes I see… don't mind me I'll go now."
"Ah no… sorry about that, umm having help is fine… but im not an adventuerer… im a mercenary. Not sure if you'd want to follow someone like that, I mean afterall im not registered with the guild or anything."

"You see." He started scratching his cheek. "I applied to join the guild, but… they didn't want me so I decided I'd just do my own thing instead."

No that couldn't be, compared to the others who were merely pretending to be good this boy before her now felt warm, almost like a second sun shining light down upon her.
"I… I don't mind, Lili doesn't belong to the guild either."
"Ah, Sister Lili, my name is Neme, if that's the case I don't mind if you join me, though I'm done for now and need to rest for a few hours before I go back into the dungeon."

"Do you have a place to stay? I could meet you there, or we could agree to meet up here just after lunch if that works for you?"

She still had some funds leftover, the bulk of her hidden cache of money was stolen from her in the days following the Soma familia's fall, the loss of their god, and their powers led the entire familia to practically riot.
Liliruca had chosen to hide in her hiding place with all her valuables, while the others started to rampage, at least until the Ganesha familia arrived and began arresting the troublemakers.
Sadly this occurred to late and Lili was found, her 'home' pillaged, and even after those people were arrested her wealth was not returned as there was no proof it indeed was hers to begin with.
"Sure I don't mind."
Hearing his response her heart beat a little stronger in her chest, she didn't know why but she trusted this boy, she who had no place to go, was just being accepted even with a soul as stained as her own.
"Can… can lili also join your familia."
This question which she couldn't help but speak out stunned the boy.
Who could only return her reluctant gaze with one of his own.
