Chapter 28 - V2 Chapter 8:

"What are unused Skill points"

This single question was enough to stun Neme into complete silence.

When he was presented with the option to invite Lili into his godless familia.

He figured she would simply become like any familia member, capable of growing their stats by fighting monsters in the dungeon or beings greater than themselves.

Except unlike usual adventurers it seems that Lili now derived her own falna from his own style instead.

Or… perhaps it was a merge between the two?

He had accepted the skills derived from Soma's divine powers after all so why couldn't the Falna establishment ability be tied to that as well?

Was his purpose in this world to be like the other adventurers striving for level 10, only unlike them who would become demi-gods he could truly ascend to become a god replacing those he took out instead?

And if that was the case did Lili also need to slay gods to advance her level?

If so… this could become a problem, Neme had resolved himself to slay useless or evil gods but would he allow the slaying of those gods who were acting just like mortals, or who were actually striving for the betterment of this world?

Deciding to test this theory later, first was to answer her questions only… he didn't have a proper answer for her.

He could give her the answer of his own status sure, but would it be the same for her?

Left with no choice, Neme told what he could, that their falna was one of growth, the unused stat points she could see in her status were the points she could allocate herself to her stat parameters growing herself where she wanted to, though how to earn those points was still open for debate.

Hearing this Lili's eyes couldn't help but sparkle with delight.

All her life she had been weak, so weak she couldn't even properly be called an adventurer.

Even so weak that she had become jealous of everyone else, who could earn stats like they were drinking water, whereas she had to fight for her life just to earn a single point after multiple dungeon dives.

But now, to think she could just earn these auxillary points and just give herself more strength if she wanted.

This power, it truly was godly, even more so than the supposed powers of the divine themselves.

She desperately wanted to rush out to the dungeon now to try it out, however she also knew that Neme had only just gotten back from the Dungeon and needed time to rest, she had been insistent on becoming his companion, and beyond that even forcing her way into his familia.

Having reflected on this she could only bow her head in shame for one-sidedly asking for everything.

Neme decided to put the girls mind at ease.

Having had a good idea what she was thinking when she went red faced.

He asked if she was registered with the guild.

"the guild?"

She could only tilt her head in response, then the memory clicked.

He couldn't register with the guild, but she was previously of Soma's familia and therefore a registered adventurer even if it was only for a short time.

"Yeah, you've registered haven't you?"

"Well… yeah a long time ago now, pretty sure that registration doesn't go away even if your god does… though they might revoke my status in the guild for all I know."

"Perfect well it's worth trying at least, better than continuing as I have been losing a cut of the profits from my efforts."

"huh?"

Pointing his arm at the three backpacks stacked In the corner of the room, that was the result of his last three dives, he had hundreds of magic stones waiting to be exchanged for valis.

And not just stones but also drop items as well.

Minotaur horns, Needle rabbit Tusks, Hard Armor Shell, and Silver back fur.

All told the valis total of the contents of this room alone were in the millions by a rough estimate.

And with Lili being a familia member now, and more importantly one who could use the guild services such as the exchange.

He could get her to perform the exchange on his behalf, no longer losing the percentage usually take by the black market, of course he would need to spend some of this valis on getting her some proper gear, but once they started working together the rate of monster extermination and the amount of drops they could carry back would raise easily twice to three times what he could manage alone.

She had no reason to refuse, wanting to be helpful to him even if only this much.

Seeing her agree Neme loaded himself up with two of the bags, while Lili volunteered to bear the third.

Thanks to her skill she was easily able to bear the load of the bag heavy as it was, even if her strength stat wasn't all that much, meanwhile the bags he was carrying felt like nothing at all, thanks to his own exponentially higher value.

The trip to the guild did not take much time at all, thanks to the guilds location near the tower of babel, and his own inn choice likewise being close by.

The streets during the day were alive with noise and the jumble of people.

However there was still signs of lingering worry, mainly the fact that the gods who usually could be seen openly on the streets or manning street stalls were all but missing.

All save for one.

At a simple stall selling potatoe balls the goddess of the hearth, Loli goddess Hestia still proudly manned her stall owned by her godly friend Takemichazuchi.

When all other gods were worried for their own lives, Hestia on the otherhand was more worried about her lack of money.

She had finally gotten herself her first familia member but even still after days of bell having gone into the dungeon his earnings were only slightly better than her own from working at a stall.

He was trying his hardest in the dungeon to provide for her, and even admist the threat to the divine, she wanted to also try her hardest for her Bell-kun.

Seeing the loli goddess calling out to the crowd doing her best, Neme could only shake his head, while also feeling a warmth in his heart out of approval.

When the pair reached the guild, Neme stood like a bodyguard a few paces behind Lili.

She on the otherhand took all three bags on her own to the counter.

A series of teller windows that looked like they belonged to a bank more than an adventurer guild.

Lili having approached the counter had a slot open up in front of her, an open cavity in which she could pour the contents of her bags.

Once all three were finished pouring in.

She pushed this section to close it back up.

From behind the teller window, the man working began to lightly appraise and catalogue everything that was provided.

Though looking at the little girl before him he couldn't help but be shocked.

Lili was roughly known around the guild, as a person to be wary of.

But now she had brought in hundreds of middle floor monster cores, and even a handful of their drop items.

Lili was a member… no a former member of God Soma's familia, and they were low earners so for this to have happened she must have either joined up with an exploration familia, or… she targeted a batch of third class adventurers, stealing all their spoils.

That thought didn't hold since behind her there was a robust looking young man who kept his gaze on Lili after the two separated upon entering.

Shaking his head, he decided not to dwell on these thought, instead completing his task before him.

The result was compiled and thanks to that he knew the amount meant to be delivered to the client.

Thunk

A bag of coins was placed into a tray which was then slid under the teller window presented to Lili for collection.

"Your total here today is 2.37 Million Valis."
