The familiar comfort of James's Mark Park house surrounds me as I settle into the kitchen chair. Coming here to order pizza felt like the smartest choice, a place where we could speak openly without eavesdropping ears. The protective wards layered throughout this house provide an added bonus of security.
I've just finished briefing Brent on my car conversation with Reina, though I deliberately omitted the detail about declaring myself Queen of Hell. With everything spiraling into chaos, I'm struggling to distinguish between outright lies and information better kept hidden for their protection. Knowledge can become lethal when magic and demons intertwine, and as whispers spread through the underworld, more demons will inevitably hunt me down.
