"That's it!"
Finney nodded. His memory of the Railgun seemed to be that simple, but unfortunately, he lacked electromagnetic abilities, so he couldn't attempt it.
Lincoln's face stiffened. If it weren't for Finney's serious expression, he would have suspected Finney was joking.
"Actually, I studied medicine before I came here!"
Lincoln hesitated for a long time before finally saying, "So I don't know much about the principles of electromagnetic induction."
"I see!"
Finney's face showed a hint of disappointment. He studied languages and didn't know much about this either, but he didn't mind. He patted Lincoln on the shoulder encouragingly, "You can look it up when you have time. This move is called 'Railgun,' and it's incredibly powerful!"
Lincoln looked surprised and couldn't help but ask, "Can anyone really do what you say?"
Although he said he didn't know much about electromagnetic induction, he wasn't completely ignorant. He just felt that what Finney said was impossible.
If a coin were really launched that way, his entire arm would probably be damaged, and the destructive power couldn't be described simply as "very powerful"!
"Of course!"
Finney glanced at the disbelieving Lincoln. If the 'Golden Grand Evolution Technique' could exist, what was impossible about the 'Railgun'?
"Um… could you introduce…"
"No!"
Seeing the hesitant Lincoln, Finney refused outright. Although the Railgun existed, it wasn't in the Marvel Universe; introducing them was simply out of the question.
Seeing Finney's decisive refusal, Lincoln looked somewhat embarrassed, but he didn't persist. He just wondered if he should investigate the possibility Finney mentioned when he got back.
Soon, a week passed.
For the past week, Finney and Skye had been in the 'Afterlife,' thoroughly exploring the surrounding scenery. Gordon and Jiaying seemed to be doing well.
During this time, Jiaying relinquished her leadership position, transferring all authority, and even had Gordon bring Carl Johnson over for a genuine family reunion.
Finney didn't participate, but judging from Skye's expression, the gathering seemed to be quite pleasant.
Later, with Carl Johnson's consent, he used the 'Golden Great Evolution Technique' to make Jiaying forget the torment she suffered at Whitehall's hands. With
Skye's parents' situation finally resolved, Finney breathed a sigh of relief. Now, all that remained was to deal with the Hydra faction at Whitehall, and the matter would be perfectly resolved.
Because her memories had been erased, Jiaying wasn't involved in the revenge plot, and Finney was also afraid of upsetting her and causing her to break free of the Mind Scepter's control again.
As for Skye, Carl Johnson didn't want his innocent and kind daughter involved in such matters and repeatedly pleaded with Finney not to bring her along either.
Finney agreed without much hesitation. He didn't actually want Skye to go, and given Skye's kindness and sense of justice, she might even stop Carl Johnson from seeking revenge.
So, in the Hydra base, Finney and Carl Johnson looked at Whitehall, who was strapped to a chair.
Revenge is less satisfying when the other party is under control, so Finney had deliberately deactivated the Mind Scepter's control.
"I never thought I'd end up like this,"
Whitehall sighed, looking at Finney and Carl Johnson. "But before I die, can you tell me what the obelisk is?!"
Seeing Whitehall's inquisitive face, Finney didn't let him die with regrets, saying, "It's something aliens use. They experimented on humans on Earth. This thing can help those experimented on awaken special powers within them."
"I see!"
Whitehall nodded contentedly, then looked at Carl Johnson, who was glaring at him beside Finney, and said calmly, "Do it!"
With his enemy before him, Carl Johnson was already burning with rage. If it weren't for Finney's immense help, he wouldn't have waited this long.
"Want to die now? Not so easy!" Carl Johnson sneered, staring intently at Whitehall. "I'll make you understand just how much we suffered!"
Finney frowned slightly at Carl's crazed expression, but said nothing. He couldn't truly understand Carl's pain, so he couldn't judge his actions.
He had already decided to leave Whitehall to him; what he did was up to him.
After silently leaving the room, Carl's triumphant laughter and Whitehall's cries of pain could be faintly heard from within.
A full half hour later, Carl emerged from the room, covered in blood, looking like a demon.
"Thank you!"
Carl Johnson thanked Finney, who was guarding the door. Not only had he found his wife and daughter, but he had also personally killed his enemy, giving him an unprecedented sense of satisfaction.
"It's alright!"
Finney looked at Carl. Although he looked terrifying now, his expression and eyes had lost their previous gloom and pain.
"Could I ask you for another favor?"
Just then, Carl suddenly said to Finney.
"Hmm?!" Finney was slightly taken aback and asked, "What favor?"
"Could you erase these memories for me too?!"
While revenge was satisfying, Carl felt a void afterward, so he decided to have Finney erase everything about Whitehall from his memory.
In the future, he only hoped for a peaceful life with his wife and daughter; these hatreds should be left behind.
"Are you sure?"
Finney was somewhat surprised; he hadn't expected Carl to make such a request. However, considering the current situation, he suddenly felt that this seemed to be the best outcome.
"Yes!"
Carl Johnson nodded firmly.
"Alright!"
Finney agreed. After washing up and changing his clothes, he helped him erase the memories. This wasn't difficult for him; it only required a few commands using the 'Golden Grand Evolution Technique'.
Without Whitehall's memories, Carl Johnson seemed like a completely different person—sunny, humble, and polite, utterly unlike his previous gloomy and crazed self.
Skye's parents' problem was solved, and Whitehall's problem was solved too, but this enormous base and dozens of Hydra agents were giving Finney a headache.
"Should I really just unleash a 'burst spell' on them?!"
Finney hesitated. He didn't consider himself a superhero, but he'd never considered becoming a ruthless villain either.
Moreover, because of his system experience, he deeply respected life, and he didn't want to become indifferent to it one day. Therefore, killing these people was the worst option for him.
Not a single person had voted for him all day—it was chilling!
