Chapter 354 - Chapter 354 Into the Treasure Land

"You might not believe it," King Towering Bear transmitted, "but the last time we explored the sacrificial preparation area, we discovered a tribute storage room. We clashed with the Demon race faction, and a major battle ensued in that area, which then triggered a danger from the native Holy Land, teleporting five fiercely battling Pinnacle Stage King-Level Immortal into the Spatial Torrent Layer."

"The Spatial Torrent Layer? How is that possible!" Ender heard this and didn't quite believe what King Towering Bear said.

It should be noted that although the Spatial Interlayer is divided into thousands of layers, the places where Immortal powerhouses frequently move are actually only the Spatial Fragment Layer and the Divine Kingdom Layer.

Military Lord Immortals without an Immortal body would be in danger even in the Divine Kingdom Layer; the impact of those massive unowned Spatial Fragments could severely injure or kill them.

And the Spatial Torrent Layer is even more dangerous; the further out one goes, the more perilous it becomes. Even if a King-level Immortal enters the Spatial Torrent Layer, the possibility of their fall is extremely high.

Even a Universe Venerable might not be safe deep within the Spatial Torrent Layer.

"I know you don't believe it. When I first heard this news, my thoughts were the same as yours," King Towering Bear sighed and transmitted, "but I learned this news from the fallen King Sparrow."

"King Sparrow told you before he fell?"

Ender knew King Sparrow; he was an alien Pinnacle Stage King-Level Immortal skilled in the path of the Illusion Warrior. Although he wasn't a Soul Master, he still had several King-level Elementary Soul slaves.

"That's right," King Towering Bear replied, "The human Virtual Universe Network is indeed powerful; even in the Spatial Torrent Layer, one can still access the Virtual Universe. King Sparrow sent an email through the Virtual Universe before he fell, informing me and King Pheasant Wing of this matter."

"The Spatial Torrent Layer is extremely far from the Original Universe. How did they end up in the Spatial Torrent Layer?" Ender wondered.

To reach the Spatial Torrent Layer, one needs to pass through the Spatial Fragment Layer and the Divine Kingdom Layer. Yet, King Sparrow and the other Pinnacle Stage King-Level Immortal were directly transported into the Spatial Torrent Layer in a short amount of time, which is very strange!

"I'm not sure, but there were intense spatial fluctuations at the time. King Pheasant Wing and I speculated it should have been a Divine Kingdom teleportation," King Towering Bear shared his guess.

"If it was a Divine Kingdom teleportation, how could five individuals like King Sparrow and the others, with their strength, not react in time?"

Ender transmitted, "Moreover, when the First Battlefield was opened, many super powerhouses from the four major races took action, and the native powerhouses of Scarlet Rainbow Continent had long since perished. It's unlikely there are any native Immortals still alive."

"That's true, which is why we only speculated at the time," King Towering Bear agreed, then continued, "Aside from that spatial teleportation, even when King Frost Steed and I battled, nothing similar happened."

"Are you saying it was just an accident?" Ender asked.

"It's very possible…" King Towering Bear explained, "The last exploration was our first time here, so both our side and the Demon race faction were extremely cautious. We carefully studied all the text murals."

"Overall, the content of those text murals was merely the development history of that native race and an explanation of the purpose of this Holy Land."

"If the Scarlet Rainbow Continent native race were in their prime, this Holy Land, where they worshipped their so-called 'Mother,' would surely have had a King-level Immortal or even a Universe Venerable guarding it. But now, all their powerhouses above Immortal have fallen, so it's impossible for there to be any guardians here."

"Therefore, I believe the likelihood of it being an accident is extremely high."

King Towering Bear then advised, "King Verdant End, you should know that this Scarlet Rainbow Continent's native race has produced several Universe Venerables. From this, it can be inferred that this alien Holy Land must contain many treasures…"

"Don't worry, King Towering Bear," Ender interrupted, "Since I've joined the adventure team, I will naturally strive to acquire treasures. I'm entitled to three and a half tenths of the spoils."

Upon receiving this transmission, King Towering Bear secretly breathed a sigh of relief. "Then the next scouting mission is up to you, King Verdant End."

"No problem," Ender agreed.

Although he didn't fully trust King Towering Bear, he was confident in his defensive measures. Even if he encountered danger, he was sure he could survive longer than others.

Sometimes, you don't need to compare in other aspects; just outliving everyone else is enough!

Ender and King Towering Bear finished their transmitted conversation. Although they discussed many things, their conversation actually only took two seconds.

"Let's go."

At this moment, King Mistflare transformed into a fiery red stream of light and flew into a passage.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

King Overbearing Autumn and King Frost Steed also transformed into golden and white streams of light, following behind the fiery red light.

"King Towering Bear?" King Pheasant Wing transmitted.

"Follow me."

Upon hearing this, King Towering Bear transformed into a black stream of light and flew into a passage.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Ender and King Pheasant Wing transformed into streams of light, following the black light that King Towering Bear had turned into.

"Little Dawn, scan and record all the text murals in the passage."

Because he didn't fully trust King Towering Bear, he had his intelligent optical computer, Little Dawn, record the text murals in the passage while flying, for later interpretation.

Flying along the winding passage, at their speed, the three soon arrived at a spacious hall.

This hall had four connected passages, with each passage entrance opened on one of the four walls. The hall also contained many text murals, not much different from the previous hall.

Ender had Little Dawn scan and record the text murals in the hall, while simultaneously transmitting to King Towering Bear and King Pheasant Wing, "Where are King Mistflare and the others? Didn't you say the passages eventually lead to the same place?"

"They do," King Pheasant Wing transmitted, "but that's in the inner area. We're currently still in the outer area."

After a brief stop, King Towering Bear identified the direction and entered another passage. Ender and King Pheasant Wing followed behind him.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!!

Three Pinnacle Stage King-Level Immortal transformed into streams of light and flew rapidly, briefly stopping in several halls along the way, finally settling in a spacious hall.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

Soon, three streams of light shot out from another passage; they were the three Demon race Pinnacle Stage King-Level Immortal, whose divine bodies had shrunk considerably.

Seeing Ender and the other two arrive first, King Overbearing Autumn spoke in surprise, "Hmm? They're a bit faster than us."

King Frost Steed said softly, "It's normal. The passages here are winding and complex. The passage they chose was shorter, so they're naturally a bit faster than us."

King Mistflare looked at the obvious passage in the hall and asked, "From here, is there only one passage to proceed?"

"That's right. Further ahead is the inner area of this Holy Land. There's only one passage for us to proceed," King Frost Steed nodded.

Upon hearing this, King Mistflare turned to look at King Towering Bear, who clearly held a dominant position. "Next, we'll go first. Do you have any objections?"

"No objections," King Towering Bear nodded slightly, seemingly unconcerned about who went first.

Ender frowned slightly at this, feeling that King Towering Bear was somewhat weak. If the Demon race side discovered treasures first and gained the upper hand, it would be difficult for them to reclaim the treasures.

"Hehe, King Verdant End, you don't need to worry," King Pheasant Wing transmitted, explaining, "The treasure vaults in this Holy Land require two tokens to open. It doesn't matter if they go first."

"That's good then," Ender nodded, relaxing slightly.

Seeing that no battle would occur for a while, he diverted a small part of his consciousness into the Virtual Universe to interpret the text murals he had scanned and recorded earlier. Ender interpreted many recorded text murals from the Holy Land, and one mural in particular struck him as odd.

The mural depicted countless curved or straight lines pointing towards the altar where offerings were placed.

The content of this mural was simple, but those lines gave him a strange feeling. He had seen similar lines on other murals before.

One of them depicted several simply outlined natives, with multiple lines passing through them.

"Since there are no objections, we'll go ahead."

King Mistflare, along with King Frost Steed and King Overbearing Autumn, entered the passage leading to the inner area first.

After the three Pinnacle Stage King-Level Immortal from the Demon race faction entered the passage, King Towering Bear finally spoke, "Let's go in too."

Ender and the others entered the passage, and along this not-so-long passage, they arrived at a circular corridor.

The circular corridor was about two kilometers wide. Just within his line of sight, he found dozens of entrances, though he didn't know if they led to passages, rooms, or treasure vaults.

Upon entering the circular corridor, King Towering Bear transmitted, "This is the inner area of this native Holy Land. From the text murals we interpreted during our last exploration, we learned that the inner area is the sacrificial preparation zone, suspected to contain a considerable number of treasures born from Secret Realm evolution."

"So, the place where you obtained treasures and encountered danger last time was this area?" Ender vigilantly looked around, constantly monitoring his miniature detector.

"That's right," King Towering Bear nodded, "So, for what comes next, I'll have to trouble you, King Verdant End."

"Got it," Ender nodded, becoming even more vigilant.

At this moment, King Frost Steed spoke, "King Towering Bear, now that we've entered the inner area, you can explore freely. If you discover a treasure vault that requires two tokens to open, remember to contact us."

"No problem. If you find a treasure vault, remember to notify us as well," King Towering Bear also reminded.

"Naturally," King Frost Steed grinned, revealing his sharp teeth. "Without the token in your hand, I can't open that treasure vault."

As soon as his voice fell, King Mistflare, accompanied by the two Demon race Pinnacle Stage King-Level Immortal, shot off into the distance, preparing to explore the area.

"They seem quite harmonious now, but…"

Watching the three Demon race Pinnacle Stage King-Level Immortal transform into streams of light and disappear into the distance, Ender understood that the current harmony was merely an illusion. When ownerless treasures were discovered, it would be a completely different scene!

Ender asked, "King Towering Bear, which direction did you explore last time?"

King Towering Bear pointed to a distant entrance. "Last time, we entered from there."

After glancing at the entrance King Towering Bear indicated, Ender asked again, "Did you finish exploring that entrance?"

"No," King Towering Bear shook his head. "This inner area is a maze of paths. After entering from that entrance, there are multiple forks, so it's impossible to explore it all in a short time."

"Follow me."

Ender nodded slightly, then transformed into a stream of light and flew towards that entrance.

Whoosh, whoosh!

King Towering Bear and King Pheasant Wing transformed into streams of light and followed, entering that entrance together.

"These Scarlet Rainbow Continent natives have some special methods. The outer area of the Holy Land is fine; large detectors can probe it somewhat."

After entering through the entrance, Ender's flying speed slowed considerably. He cautiously explored the surroundings using the map revealed by his detector.

"But once in the inner area, the miniature detector's range has shrunk significantly while maintaining detection accuracy."

The miniature detector Ender had recently purchased had a maximum diameter of 100 kilometers, but now its detection diameter was only about 10 kilometers, and it was still difficult to probe through structures.

Exploring cautiously all the way, Ender and the two others gained a small amount of g-grade metal, but no other gains.

However, he explored the treasure vault that King Towering Bear and the others had entered last time. Within that treasure vault, which had a maximum diameter of no more than a thousand kilometers, there were obvious signs of battle.

Clearly, after successfully entering the treasure vault, both sides engaged in a struggle within it.

Leaving the treasure vault, King Towering Bear pointed to a spacious area not far in the distance, "That's where King Sparrow and the others fought before they fell."

Ender looked in the direction King Towering Bear indicated and saw a sunken deep pit there, with a clear color difference between its edge and the surrounding ground.

"At the time, King Sparrow and the others discovered some treasures in that deep pit, so they entered to contend for them. Ultimately, all five Pinnacle Stage King-Level Immortal were suspected to have been teleported to the Spatial Torrent Layer."

King Pheasant Wing said with lingering fear, "Thankfully, I escaped quickly back then, otherwise I would have been teleported away too."

Ender heard this, glanced at King Pheasant Wing, and thought to himself, "Guys who are good at flying speed are indeed not very reliable."

After muttering to himself, he turned his attention back to the deep pit, feeling a sense of déjà vu.

"Here?"

Ender recalled carefully and suddenly thought of a mural he had recorded earlier in a passage.

The content depicted a vortex formed by numerous twisted lines, enveloping the heads of several natives, who were huddled together, seemingly terrified.

"Sinners devoured by the abyss?"

He remembered the text explanation next to the mural in his mind, "Is this a place for executing criminals…?"

After understanding the deep pit's status among the natives, Ender asked, "What treasures were inside that made King Sparrow and the others fight so fiercely for them?"

"I remember it was Illusion Light Silver," King Pheasant Wing lifted a wing. "About one or two tons of it."

"Illusion Light Silver…" Ender shook his head slightly.

Let alone King Sparrow, a Pinnacle Stage King-Level Immortal who Cultivates the Law of Light, even he would probably go in to snatch it.

After all, that was Illusion Light Silver, a rare Material of the same Rank as Glazed Star Gold and Void crystal!

Illusion Light Silver is equivalent in value to Glazed Star Gold, with one ton being around 1 trillion Mixed units.

One or two tons of Illusion Light Silver would be worth one to two trillion Mixed units, enough to exchange for an ordinary pseudo-Heavy Treasure.

At this moment, Ender suddenly understood, "This is indeed a treasure trove. No wonder King Towering Bear was willing to lower his share to invite me."

After exploring for a while longer, Ender and the others suddenly heard the voice of King Overbearing Autumn from the Demon race faction…
