Chapter 76 - Such Power—What on This Land Could Possibly Stand in the Way?!

"Talulah, do you see the wall before you? Use your awe-inspiring power and smash it to pieces."

"M-Me?"

Talulah pointed at herself, utterly bewildered, repeatedly confirming with An Xora.

To be honest, she didn't have a clear grasp of her current strength. She only knew that she was far stronger than before—so strong that even multiple Ursus Imperial Guards were no longer a match for her.

But beyond the Imperial Guards, Talulah lacked any better reference point. With her current experience, she genuinely had no idea where her strength ranked on Terra as a whole.

Could she really shatter a city wall?

She wasn't confident about that at all.

An Xora, however, was completely assured.

"Relax. It won't be just you—I'll also strike together with you from the shadows to maximize the impact. A mere city wall won't stand against our combined attack."

Hearing this, Talulah finally felt reassured and nodded decisively.

"Alright. Then let us join forces and crush the obstacle before us!"

Gripping her black Western-style sword, the white-haired Draco took a deep breath, slowly drew her blade, and stepped to the front lines.

At the same time, the Wendigo legion at the forefront of the battlefield split to either side, opening a path and retreating behind Talulah in unison.

"What is Lady Talulah doing…?"

Some Reunion soldiers nearby looked on in confusion—until their eyes widened in shock.

Boundless flames gathered along the blade. The temperature of the entire battlefield skyrocketed in an instant.

The earth melted into magma. Soldiers' protective gear became scorching hot. Even the stones of the distant city wall began to burn as if ignited from nothing.

The towering inferno surged like a raging flood.

At that moment, Talulah opened her eyes and swung her sword—releasing an attack that carried all of her power toward the walls of Chernobog.

BOOOOOOM—!!!

Flames capable of incinerating the land erupted endlessly, slamming into the wall. At the same time, dark clouds had gathered overhead without anyone noticing, and thick bolts of lightning crashed down, converging with the fire below.

Fire and lightning—two violent forces—reacted together, triggering a deafening explosion that shook the entire battlefield!

Even from far away, aside from the Wendigo legion standing behind Talulah, many ordinary soldiers were nearly thrown off their feet by the shockwave. They clung desperately to their comrades, afraid they might not die in battle—but be injured simply from witnessing the terrifying power their leader had unleashed.

After a long while, as the aftershock finally subsided, the soldiers raised their heads.

Beneath the slowly dissipating smoke, the towering, massive walls of Chernobog were gone.

All that remained was scorched earth and burning ruins.

With a single strike, the final defensive line of an imperial capital—standing for countless years—had been crushed by absolute force.

Such overwhelming might sent the Reunion members and Third Army soldiers, many of whom were witnessing their leader's true power for the first time, into a frenzy of ecstatic cheers.

"T-This… this is Lady Talulah's power?!"

"Unbelievable—what kind of power is this?!"

"We've won! This war is already won by Lady Talulah!"

"So strong! With power like this, even alone, Lady Talulah could storm the palace and humiliate the Ursus Emperor!"

"With strength like this, what on this land could possibly stand in the way?!"

"Long live Empress Talulah! Unmatched under heaven!"

"Empress Talulah is invincible! Invincible!!!"

Listening to the thunderous cheers of her troops, Talulah stared blankly at the devastation wrought by her full-power strike.

After a long moment, she took a deep breath, pointed her sword toward the now-wide-open Chernobog, and issued the order to advance.

Though the city had been breached, she knew the battle wasn't over yet.

The Imperial Guards—the most terrifying military force under the Emperor of Ursus—had only appeared once before, during the attempted assassination at Kashchey's domain. Since then, they hadn't shown themselves again.

Moreover, the Central Army Group, which was supposed to be defending the capital, was nowhere to be seen outside the city. It was highly likely they were lying in ambush within the walls.

In other words, a hard fight should still be ahead.

With that in mind, Talulah led the Reunion forces and the Third Army Group into Chernobog, beginning to seize control of the city sector by sector.

Yet, to her surprise—

All the way to the gates of the imperial palace, they encountered no meaningful resistance.

No ambush from the Central Army Group.

No attacks from Imperial Guards.

Even the palace gates stood wide open—as if welcoming their arrival.

"What… is going on?"

Talulah frowned at the bizarre situation and ordered scouts into the palace to investigate.

Soon, an answer emerged—one that left everyone unsure what expression to wear.

"You're saying that the day before our army arrived—on the very night the Wendigo legion reached the outskirts of Chernobog—the Ursus Emperor Fyodor announced his abdication… and then vanished?"

Yes.

The Emperor of Ursus had run.

The moment Fyodor saw the two thousand Wendigos gathered outside Chernobog—especially after learning from the Imperial Guards that each one possessed strength comparable to theirs—he made his decision without hesitation.

At first, Fyodor had considered rallying the Central Army Group for resistance. But after witnessing the Wendigo legion and hearing that every single Wendigo was essentially an Imperial Guard in power, he abandoned all such thoughts.

Two thousand Wendigos, each equivalent to an Imperial Guard? Even a colossus would get beaten into paste by numbers like that. Anyone who didn't run in that situation deserved a medal.

Rather than staying to die, he chose to make a "dignified" exit.

Fyodor fled decisively—and discreetly. It wasn't until the next morning that people discovered the Emperor had disappeared overnight, leaving behind only an abdication decree, along with the crown and scepter. The man himself was nowhere to be found.

By sheer coincidence, Talulah began her assault that same morning. Even if palace officials had wanted to open the gates and surrender, it was already too late—resulting in the absurd scene before them.

"So, Grand Duke Talulah," some trembling palace officials ventured,

"with the imperial throne now vacant, we believe such a noble position belongs to none other than you. Will you ascend the throne here in Chernobog?"

Some were even bolder—directly presenting the imperial coronation robes of Ursus.
