Chapter 51 - Chapter 51: Seeds of Ambition

Chapter 51 :Seeds of Ambition

His plan for his organisation was somewhat similar to the Akatsuki but a lot different at the same time.

While the Akatsuki's goal was to gather all the tailed beasts and ultimately reshape the world through overwhelming power and fear, using war as a means to enforce a false peace, and to accomplish this goal they gathered the world's most elite shinobi from across the shinobi world. Though this plan succeeded somewhat in its early stages, in the end after Nagato died and Obito took over, the organisation had already been reduced to only a handful of members, its original structure fractured and weakened.

Kenzo's was somewhat similar but also very different. Just like the Akatsuki, his plan was to gather elite shinobi, but it didn't end there. His plan went even further. He wanted not only shinobi but elites from every field, medical experts, scientists, information brokers, spies, researchers, black market traders, and even those skilled in logistics and resource management.

And the reason for this was also very simple. His goal was to create a living human farm. Babies would be scientifically created for high efficiency and killed according to the system when it gave the highest rewards compared to the time ratio, like an automatic farm. Though this was still far into the future.

Right now he still hadn't reached that level yet. With that kind of power, his influence would increase dramatically. Then and only then could he truly start this at a large scale. For now, however, it would be enough if they could supply him with basic information and carry out simple tasks.

As Kenzo thought of this, they finally reached the forest. Rei, on the other hand, hadn't said anything, just silently following from behind. The ground beneath them was soft and uneven, patches of mud clinging to their footsteps, leaves scattered across the path, damp and slightly decayed. The air was heavy with the scent of soil and wood. Rei's breath, however, was slightly uneven, clearly showing signs of exhaustion. To Kenzo, this kind of walk might not be much, but for an ordinary person who already looked a bit weak physically, it would definitely not be an easy task.

Kenzo also noted this naturally, so he stopped.

"Let's part ways here. I will inform you when we meet again."

His voice was calm and direct, leaving no room for rebuttal. Without stopping, he created a shadow clone to escort him out.

Rei, on the other hand, simply nodded, not making a fuss. After all, he was still just a civilian. Contrary to what people believe, for ordinary people obtaining even a simple chakra manual for gathering chakra was extremely hard. Even a second-rate one would cost you around five hundred thousand ryo, and that's only if you have connections like the nobles. If you don't, then good luck finding one. Even with enough money, it is simply a pipe dream, because even if you find one, the chances are it is fake or some parts of it have been cut out or altered.

Information in the shinobi world was highly regulated to almost an absurd degree, like basic chakra control techniques being restricted to academy graduates, elemental nature transformation manuals being locked behind village authority, medical ninjutsu knowledge being exclusive to trained professionals, sealing techniques being heavily guarded by clans, and even maps of certain regions being classified. There were simply too many examples of this.

As Kenzo's shadow clone escorted Rei out of the forest, Kenzo's thoughts drifted slightly again. There were simply so many unpolished gems in the shinobi world. If given enough time and deployed in the right direction, all of them could become useful assets and tools for his own purposes. For now, however, he needed to kill more, since this was the fastest way for his growth. For now, he had already investigated beforehand. There was no such thing as the dragon veins or the Zero Tails. Nothing like that existed in this world, unfortunately, or his growth would have been even faster.

As for Rei betraying him or reporting him, such a possibility was extremely unlikely. As an elite jonin, he naturally had his ways to monitor or simply kill him, such as leaving a traceable chakra imprint, placing a subtle surveillance seal on his body, or using shadow clones to observe him from a distance. So it was nearly impossible for him to escape from his hands.

Kenzo's gaze shifted to the sun. Surprisingly, there was no rain today. The clouds had parted slightly, allowing a faint golden light to fall through, breaking the usual gray monotony of the land.

His hand moved toward it in a clenching motion as he spoke in his mind.

In his previous world, a plan like this, to make babies and kill them in such a cruel manner, would definitely be seen as evil, or only something a pure madman would do. But in this world, as long as you had enough power, everything was possible.

As long as he had enough power, mountains would shatter before him.

As long as he had enough power, rivers would part and change their course at his will.

As long as he had enough power, even the lives of countless people would become nothing more than numbers.

This was the tragedy of this world and the unrestrained freedom and cruelty of it.

In his previous life, he was just a mortal. In the end, even if he stood at its zenith, ultimately he would die of old age just like the others.

So in this life, he vowed to do anything to achieve his goals, regardless of the morality behind it.

"In this life, I would rather let the world down than be let down by the world."
