Nagi Island had completely transformed into a burning purgatory. Thick, black smoke billowed from the ruined port, and towering flames illuminated half the night sky, casting a hellish orange glow over the waves. The wreckage of destroyed warships continued to explode with dull, heavy sounds as fire reached their hidden munitions. The main garrison area was even more ghastly; scorched corpses lay in twisted poses, ninja tools were melted into unrecognizable blobs of slag, and the very ground had been vitrified into jagged glass by the high-frequency heat of Pakura's Scorch Release. The air was a thick, suffocating soup of salt, burning timber, and the iron scent of death.
Sayo and Pakura, two powerhouses whose capabilities now far surpassed the upper limits of elite Jonin and touched the Kage-level threshold had showcased the full potential of a "Surgical Strike."
For the Kaguya Clan, who prided themselves on their savage, close-quarters Shikotsumyaku the Corpse Bone Pulse, Pakura was a natural predator. Their bone blades, which could usually parry steel, were as fragile as dry twigs before the extreme heat that warped the air around her. Kaguya ninjas attempting to initiate a "Dance" often found their internal moisture evaporated before they even crossed the ten-meter mark. Their famed armor of bone became brittle and shattered under its own weight, leaving them as charred husks in the sand. The Kaguya Clan Head, facing the savage, Wind-Release-enhanced slashes of the Gundam's Ship-Slicing Blade, was a broken man. He was covered in his own blood, forced to expend every ounce of his chakra just to manifest enough bone structures to avoid being cleaved in two.
Furthermore, the Gundam's destructive capacity against fixed infrastructure was absolute. Its seventeen-meter frame and the torque of its mechanical joints reduced coastal batteries and fortified warehouses to splinters in a matter of minutes. The shuriken, kunai, and even the large-scale ballista bolts fired by the surviving Mist defenders merely sparked harmlessly against the Gundam's high-strength alloy armor. To Sayo, the incoming fire was nothing more than "Low-Level Noise" that failed to penetrate his machine's defensive firewall.
What made the Hidden Mist even more desperate was that Nagi Island served as a critical resource node, a production site for the Land of Water's naval tools and a reserve for unprocessed iron ore. For Sayo's Magnet Release, this environment was an inexhaustible ammunition depot.
He didn't even bother to manifest his own iron sand from his storage scrolls. With a slight shift in his neural focus, he activated the Gundam's primary magnetic force field.
"Magnet Release: Iron Sand Drizzle!"
In an instant, it was as if the very atoms of the island's metal supply were responding to a "Root Command." Countless shuriken, kunai, and crates of raw iron ore were seized by an invisible, gargantuan hand. They floated into the air, thousands of pieces of metal vibrating and converging into a dense, dark torrent that shimmered with a lethal luster under the firelight.
The next moment, this "Death Storm" surged forth. Sayo directed the metallic swarm toward any Hidden Mist squad attempting to regroup or coordinate a long-range counter-script.
"Quick, get down! Dodge!" "Damn it! Those are our own weapons!"
The Hidden Mist ninjas scattered in a panic, but the metallic storm possessed a "Tracking Logic" that they couldn't outrun. The rain of steel pierced flesh and shattered bone, triggering a chorus of screams that was quite literally a massacre composed of their own hardware.
"Strategic objectives: 100% completion. Senior Pakura, initiate withdrawal protocol!" Sayo's voice, transmitted via chakra-vibration, reached Pakura as she stood atop the ruins of the Garrison headquarters.
Pakura didn't hesitate. She was a professional who understood the value of a clean exit. The Scorch Release fireballs surrounding her suddenly expanded in a violent thermal burst, forcing back the remaining defenders with a wall of sheer heat. With a few flickers of her Body Flicker technique, she returned to the massive mechanical palm extended by the Gundam.
Sayo piloted the Gundam as it ascended, its cold, glowing eyes scanning the devastated ruins below. He did not leave immediately, however. He had one final "Resource Acquisition" to perform.
The Gundam's huge mechanical hand grasped at the air, and the Magnet Release force field enveloped the entire port area. The metal tools that had just been unleashed, along with the massive crates of raw ore from the nearby warehouses, were forcefully extracted as if time were being reversed. They converged toward the Gundam in a black, swirling whirlwind.
Sayo quickly unfurled an extra-large Sealing Scroll with the Gundam's assistance. The enormous metallic torrent was efficiently compressed and stored within the seal, a hundred rivers of steel flowing into a single scroll. These were the high-tier materials Suna needed to pay its "Reparations" and restart its own production lines.
"Bastard! He's... he's looting our entire armory!" An elite Kaguya Jonin coughed up blood in his fury, yet he could only watch from the ground, utterly powerless to stop the theft.
In mere seconds, the massive flow of metal was completely collected. Sayo secured the scroll with a sense of clinical satisfaction.
"Mission complete. The harvest is sufficient to stabilize the village's budget for the next quarter. Time to go," Sayo murmured.
He operated the Gundam's gigantic wingspan, the primary foils extending to their maximum width. The vector thrusters behind the machine erupted with a brilliant, blue-white light.
BOOM-!
The powerful thrust allowed the Gundam to instantly break the sound barrier, creating a sonic boom that shattered the remaining windows on the island. The machine transformed into a silver-blue meteor, rapidly climbing through the cloud layer and disappearing into the vast, silent night. Within a few heartbeats, it was gone, leaving only the sound of the wind.
They had arrived like a sudden system crash and departed with the calm of a completed process.
All that remained of Nagi Island was a scorched, fire-lit ruin and the Hidden Mist survivors, men who had been shaken to their very core, filled with an endless fear of the giant that walked the sky.
This cross-sea assault was Suna's forceful response to the Mist's "Logic Trap." It used absolute military strength to declare that Sunagakure was no longer a victim, but an aggressor capable of projecting power into the heart of the Land of Water.
Sayo and Pakura, piloting the miracle they had built together, embarked on the long flight home. But they both knew that the "Shockwave" of this mission was only just beginning to ripple through the Ninja World's geopolitical network.
