Chapter 10 - A Dream World for a Poor Boy – Season 2, Part 4: When Fear Takes a Face

The Trial of Fear and Destiny

As soon as Elvin sits in front of the True Mirror, he sees someone standing before him—

someone who looks exactly like himself.

That figure moves closer, its eyes filled with hatred, and says coldly,

"Defeat me… I am your fear."

Terrified, Elvin loses control of his senses and runs out of the room.

He rushes to Warmeo and says nervously,

"Uncle… I was just talking to myself!"

Warmeo looks at him calmly and replies,

"My son, that was your fear."

Then he says firmly,

"Sit in front of the mirror again and defeat it using what I have taught you.

This time, you must conquer your fear."

Elvin gathers his courage and sits before the mirror once again.

His fear appears in front of him, just as before.

But this time, Elvin does not fight with magic.

He does not raise his hands in anger.

Instead, he faces it with courage and truth—with his words and his will.

Slowly, his fear weakens…

and finally, it disappears.

The moment Elvin conquers his fear, the True Mirror vanishes.

Warmeo steps forward and says proudly,

"Very well done, my son."

Elvin asks in surprise,

"Uncle, how did you know that I defeated my fear?"

Warmeo replies,

"The mirror never disappears until a person conquers his own fear.

But you did it. You are truly gifted."

As they begin to leave the secret room, Elvin notices a sword lying nearby.

It looks different, ancient, and powerful.

Elvin asks,

"Uncle, whose sword is this?"

Warmeo replies thoughtfully,

"I do not know. My master gave it to me, but it was not his."

Elvin hesitates and then asks,

"Uncle… may I take it?"

Warmeo lifts the sword from its sheath.

The moment he does, lightning flashes from the blade, filling the room with energy.

He hands the sword to Elvin and says,

"My son, always take care of this sword."

Elvin bows his head respectfully and replies,

"Yes, Uncle."

They leave the secret room together.

A Proposal of the Heart

Later, they sit down for lunch.

During the meal, Elvin speaks softly,

"Uncle Warmeo, I want to tell you something."

Warmeo replies,

"Speak, my son."

Elvin gathers courage and says,

"Uncle… Meera and I love each other.

Please speak to Meera's father about our marriage."

Warmeo listens carefully and then replies seriously,

"Yes, my son. I will talk to Meera's father."

Warmeo Meets Magnus

The next morning, Warmeo sets out for his friend Magnus's house to discuss Elvin and Meera's future.

After a long journey, he finally reaches Magnus's home.

Magnus welcomes him warmly,

"Come inside, my friend. It has been many days since you visited."

Warmeo smiles,

"Yes, you are right."

As they sit together, Magnus asks,

"So tell me… who is the new one this time?"

Warmeo replies,

"A young man has arrived."

Magnus asks thoughtfully,

"Will he be able to break free from the dream of this magical world and return to the real world?"

Warmeo answers honestly,

"I do not know. But he is brave… and perhaps our only hope."

Magnus then asks,

"Then why have you come here today?"

Warmeo speaks directly,

"Magnus, I have come to speak about the marriage of my student, Elvin, and your daughter, Meera."

Magnus pauses and says,

"I cannot decide alone. I must ask my daughter."

He calls out,

"Meera… Meera…"

Meera enters and greets them respectfully,

"Yes, Father."

She looks at Warmeo and says,

"Hello, Uncle."

Magnus gently asks her,

"Daughter, Uncle Warmeo has brought a proposal for you.

Do you wish to marry his student, Elvin?"

Meera blushes, lowers her eyes, and softly replies,

"Yes."

She quietly leaves the room.

Magnus then says seriously,

"My friend Warmeo… how long will people remain trapped in this magical world?

When will Misha arrive?"

Warmeo replies slowly,

"I do not know.

But my heart tells me to trust Elvin.

I cannot explain it… but perhaps he is the one."
