A Dream World for a Poor Boy - Part 1
Written by Mohammad Faiz Assadi
Once upon a time, there lived a poor boy named Elvin. He studied at St. Stephan
Law and Engineering College. Elvin was kind-hearted, humble, and determined
despite his poverty. Every day, he attended his classes sincerely, paying full
attention to his lecturers. But in his class, there was a notorious bully named Jacko,
the son of a cruel man named Marco. Jacko used to tease Elvin every day. One
day, just before the exams, Jacko and his gang brutally beat Elvin to stop him from
appearing in the test. Elvin, filled with silent rage, vowed to take revenge one day.
When he recovered, he returned to college, but fate had something mysterious
planned for him. One day, Marco's men attacked Elvin again. They thought they
had killed him, but he was only unconscious. While unconscious, Elvin slipped into
a dream world— a world that felt real but was far from his own. He found himself
living in an ancient kingdom called Gorva, also known as "The Home of
Happiness." However, the people there called it "The Land of Sadness," because
the king was cruel, arrogant, and a tyrant who kidnapped young girls from villages.
In this world, Elvin lived with his poor but loving family—his father, a farmer, his
mother, a homemaker, and his little sister, Riya. One day, the evil king spotted
Riya near a river and abducted her. When Elvin's parents heard the news, they
broke down in tears. Elvin comforted them and said, "Don't worry, Mom and Dad. I
will bring Riya back." He borrowed a horse from a friend's father and began his
journey. Through scorching sun, freezing cold, and heavy rain, he continued
tirelessly until he reached a small village where he rented a room for rest. But that
night, a group of thieves tried to rob him. Just then, a brave girl named Rina arrived
with her guards, scared off the robbers, and helped Elvin. They became friends,
and soon their friendship turned into love. After a few days, Elvin remembered his
mission and told Rina, "My love, I must go to rescue my sister, but I promise I will
return for you." He infiltrated the king's palace and saved Riya from captivity. Riya
cried with joy and hugged her brother tightly. However, when Elvin returned later to
Rina's village, he found it destroyed. The same robbers had attacked, killed her
father, and violated Rina before killing her. Elvin was shattered. He fell to his
knees, crying uncontrollably at her grave. He whispered, "Rina, I promise, those
who did this to you will pay." Fueled by rage and grief, Elvin armed himself and
tracked down the thieves' hideout in a dark forest. He fought them one by one,
killing each of them. The leader of the gang was powerful, and after a fierce battle,
he knocked Elvin down. As Elvin struggled to rise, he heard Rina's voice in his
heart: "My love, stand up. Take revenge for all the women who suffered." With
renewed strength, Elvin fought back and defeated the leader. He dragged the cruel
man into the village square and tied him to a post. Elvin said to the women, "This
man hurt your sisters and daughters. Today, you will give him justice." The women
threw stones, poured boiling water, and punished him until he died. Elvin returned
home, reunited with his family, and lived peacefully with his sister Riya, forever
cherishing Rina's memory in his heart. He had fought not only for his love but also
for justice, proving that even a poor boy's dream can change the world.
