Chapter 98 — "Vanished into the Void"

The Cortex buzzed with tension.

Everyone was talking at once—voices overlapping, worry tightening every word.

Kara paced.

Oliver stood by the monitors, arms crossed.

Sara leaned against the wall, eyes fixed on the floor, silently replaying the fight.

Barry sat on the edge of the console, quiet. Too quiet.

Only Cisco and Wells were focused, fingers flying across the keyboard as lines of data streamed down STAR Labs' computers.

"Why now?" Caitlin asked softly, her arms wrapped around herself. "Why attack Barry's wedding? Why Earth-X?"

Cisco grunted. "Give me a second, I'm pulling breach logs."

Wells squinted at the screen. "They weren't random. They came with purpose. That much is clear."

Oliver shook his head. "This wasn't a warning. It was a message."

Sara nodded. "But from who?"

Before anyone could answer—

The alarm shrieked.

Red lights flooded the Cortex.

Cisco's eyes darted to the screen. "Breach detected! CCPD!"

"What?" Barry jumped to his feet. "What's going on?"

Cisco swallowed hard. "Second wave. They're attacking Central City Police Department."

"Then we go now," Barry said, lightning crackling around him.

Kara nodded. "No hesitations this time."

Oliver drew his bow.

Sara flipped her batons open.

And in the blink of an eye—they were gone.

---

The CCPD building was already in ruins when they arrived.

Smoke bled from shattered glass windows. Sirens screamed in the distance.

And there, standing in the middle of the chaos—

They saw them.

Three figures.

A twisted mirror of their own reflections.

Supergirl from Earth-X, dressed in the cruel colors of her regime. Armor soaked in violence, her eyes devoid of warmth.

Oliver Queen of Earth-X, in a black hood with red-tipped arrows—his face bearing no kindness, only the cold resolve of a soldier.

And finally, the speedster who stood between them.

Eobard Thawne.

Dressed in black and yellow.

Wearing the face of Harrison Wells.

Barry's face twisted. "You…"

Eobard smiled. "Hello, Barry. Miss me? Well we just fought i was dark flash but i figured it's to much drama so i should show my real face"

Barry took a step forward. "You died. Dante killed you."

"Oh, he did. Brilliantly, I might add," Thawne said, clapping slowly. "But that's the thing about time, Barry. Once you've traveled through it as much as I have… death is more of a suggestion than a rule."

Kara clenched her fists. "You're supposed to be gone."

Sara pulled her weapons into defensive stance.

Oliver's jaw tightened.

But Eobard continued, smug. "That version of me? He died. But me? I'm from a different loop. A different branch. A paradox in motion."

Barry's fists lit with lightning. "You're still the same monster."

"Well, yes," Eobard chuckled. "But a very persistent one."

And then—

Without warning—

A pulse of red light exploded from a device at Eobard's side.

It struck Barry before he could move.

He vanished—gone in a blink, no trace left behind but scorched air.

"Barry!" Kara shouted.

But then the same red light surged again.

This time, it hit Kara.

Then Oliver.

Then Sara.

One by one, the heroes vanished into flashes of crimson light.

---

The world snapped away.

---

Earth-X.

Dark skies. Ash in the air. A city of iron and suffering stretched below them like a graveyard.

Barry groaned as he landed on cracked concrete, pain flaring in every muscle.

He opened his eyes—

Kara lay nearby, struggling to get up.

Sara was already on her feet, breath ragged.

Oliver knelt, reaching for his bow.

They were surrounded by walls. A massive metallic compound. Stormtroopers in Earth-X uniforms lined the walls, rifles ready.

Kara looked up, fury in her voice. "Where are we?"

A slow clap echoed through the compound.

They turned—

And saw Eobard Thawne descending a metal staircase.

Behind him stood Earth-X Oliver and Earth-X Kara, watching like lions ready to feast.

"Welcome," Thawne said with a smile. "To Earth-X."

Barry stood up. "Why bring us here?"

Thawne's smile widened. "Because this… is where your story ends."

---

Back on Earth-1, Cisco stared at the screen in horror.

"They're gone," he whispered.

Caitlin ran to him. "What do you mean, gone?"

"I mean gone. They were hit with a trans-dimensional displacement wave. It didn't just teleport them—it ripped them out of the world."

Wells narrowed his eyes. "They were sent across realities. To Earth-X."

"Can we trace it?" Caitlin asked, panic rising in her voice.

Cisco's hands were already flying. "I'm trying. But whatever tech Thawne used—it was precise. Targeted. He knew exactly how to isolate their frequency."

Wells muttered, "This wasn't an attack."

Caitlin blinked. "What do you mean?"

"This was a harvest," Wells replied. "He came for them."

---

Back on Earth-X, Barry struggled against manacles lined with red sun energy and speed-dampening tech.

Kara strained too, her strength flickering.

Sara bled from a cut on her forehead.

Oliver stared across the room at his doppelgänger.

"This is your plan?" Oliver snapped. "Kidnap us? Torture us?"

Earth-X Oliver stepped forward. "You're more than symbols. You're beacons. And when beacons fall—so does hope."

Kara hissed, "You'll never win."

Thawne strolled between them. "That's what Dante said too. Just before he blew himself up like some tragic martyr. But me? I prefer survival. Power. Legacy."

He turned to Barry, crouching. "And you, Barry. You keep trying to save everyone. You just never learn."

Barry glared at him. "You'll never break us."

Thawne smirked. "Oh, I don't have to. I just have to show your world what happens… when their greatest heroes fall."

---

In the darkness of Earth-X—

The battle wasn't over.

It was just beginning.
