[72 Hours earlier – Mama Park's house Lance's POV]

"Whaaaaat!?!?!" Daniel's shocked voice shakes the run-down apartment's flimsy walls like a candle in a hurricane.

His unnervingly pudgy face is twisted in an expression of extreme shock, his gelatinous jowls flapping like a flag in the wind.

His eyes bulge, mimicking his fictional manhwa counterpart as much as reality allows.

I'm sitting on the floor in a 'criss-cross applesauce' position, with my hands tied tightly behind my back.

Over my face is a shirt I grabbed out of Daniel's laundry bin. Disgusting, I know, but necessary for my training.

I realized that even though I'm overpowered, this world's laws of physics are very different from the ones I was used to.

The main things I noticed were physical. It seems obvious, but the Lookism physics are all normal until it comes to a person's physical self.

For example, the limits a powerlifter could achieve in my past life were vastly inferior to what a middle school kid in this world can do if he's talented.

Wounds also heal abnormally fast, and training extensively weakens the hold physics has on an individual.

Now, throw me into the mix, and even I can't predict how things will differ from canon.

Anyway, I'm training after remembering a concept from an underrated anime from my past life—The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic, or something along those lines. I'm bad with names, in case you guys forgot.

The concept of that show is that a healer with exceptional fortitude and healing ability uses their powers to develop an unorthodox training regimen: push the body to the brink of collapse before healing it, causing it to heal back stronger. Then... do it over and over again.

As I thought of that, I realized something. I constantly heal, so if I applied that training regimen to myself, how much of a monster would I become? Remembering my stat for {Potential}? I realized there isn't a limit. And so, I decided to implement it.

Starting with... my five senses. It doesn't matter how strong I am if every aspect of me isn't equally strong.

Senses are something that often go overlooked, but 'normal' senses versus 'great' senses can be the difference between a genius and a phenom.

So, to block my smell, I used Daniel's dirty shirt, which also blocked my sight. Then, I tied my hands.

Now, Daniel is wondering if I'm insane for going along with my training idea of throwing knives at me until I can dodge them by auditory senses only.

"Lance... I—I don't think we should do this..." he says nervously, glancing around. "What if I really hurt you?"

I smile, although even to me it feels a bit demented. "Hyung. There's a saying in America. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

There has never been a truer statement. Because I can't die. So I can only get stronger from here on out...
