Evelyn's POV
The following morning arrived much sooner than I would have liked.
When my alarm rang, I stared at the ceiling for several seconds, trying to convince myself that I still had another hour to sleep. Unfortunately, reality refused to cooperate. The moment I reached for my phone and saw the time, I knew there was no escaping it.
Today was another workday.
A very important workday.
Yesterday had been dedicated to photography. Today would be completely different.
Today, Maison Étoile would begin filming the promotional teasers for the campaign.
I slowly sat upright and rubbed my eyes before glancing toward the large window overlooking the city.
Paris was already awake.
Morning sunlight spilled across rooftops and glass buildings. Cars moved steadily through the streets below while people hurried toward destinations that were probably just as important to them as my schedule was to me.
For a moment, I simply sat there and watched.
Life in Paris felt different.
