I was still enjoying my joke.
Some people were annoyed, some were laughing, and that alone made it worth it.

I grabbed the back of my head my horoscope brother stood behind me, looking proud of his work.
"Was that love or violence?" I asked.
Before Aries could reply, Kiefer leaned back in his chair.
"Careful, brother-in-law. Violence is not good for family relations."
The class burst out laughing.
Felix intrupted: 'Husband and wife....'

Aries glared at him. "I am not your brother-in-law."
"Yet," Kiefer replied calmly. "Life is unpredictable."
"Stop talking nonsense," Aries snapped.
Kiefer smiled wider. "Why? Feeling shy?"
Aries looked like he was two seconds away from committing a crime.
I cleared my throat. "Guys, please. My head is already injured."
Aries finally remembered why he came. He pointed at me.
"Jay. You're called to the guidance office."
That sentence triggered disaster.
Questions flew from every direction.
"Why Jay?"
"What did she do this time?"
"Is she expelled?"
"Is it a secret mission?"
"Can we come and watch?"
"Did she break someone's heart again?"
"Is this about the explosion?"
I raised my hands. "Relax. I only break hearts emotionally."
Aries rubbed his forehead. "Enough."
Someone shouted, "So why is she being called?"
"There's a new classmate joining your section," Aries said.
Silence.
Then-
"Who?"
"Why us?"
"Boy or girl?"
"Is he dangerous?"

"Is he a criminal?" Ci-En added.

Aries sighed. "Bcoz all other sections have their excuses to not to include the newcomer in their section ."

I don't know what is their problem with our section. Huh !
"Section A said there was no space," Aries continued.
"Freya said the class is already full."
"Lies," someone muttered.
"Section B said she doesn't speak proper Tagalog," Aries added.
"That's... rude," I said.
"Section C said she's too quiet," Aries continued.
"They said she won't fit in."
I nodded. "Valid nonsense."
"What about section D?" I asked.
"I don't know " horoscope said .
"And now," Aries said slowly, "she's coming to Section E."
The room buzzed again.
"She....?" Brat asked.
Aries paused.
"Yeah ! She's a girl."
Boom.
"Another one?"
"A tomboy?"
"Is she scary?"
"Is she beautiful?"
"Is she single?"
"Will she survive us?"
Ci-En leaned toward me. "Important question-pretty or not?"
Aries shot him a look. "I don't know."

I leaned back in my chair, smiling.
