The old man grew even more animated, a delighted, toothless grin spreading across his face.
"Ha! I knew I'd be lucky today. See? Didn't I just hook a big one?"
As he spoke, the old man yanked hard on his fishing rod, but the normally responsive rod seemed useless now.
It was being pulled into an ever-deeper arc by the heavy weight underwater, yet there was no sign of him reeling anything in. This only made the old man more excited.
"It's gotta be a huge fish! It's bending my rod in half!"
[Ugh, stop! I'm seriously dying of envy.]
[As someone who's been fishing for a year and has only ever caught finger-sized fish, this is pure agony!]
[This is just cruel. My own failure is painful enough, but seeing someone else succeed fills me with nothing but rage!]
[Why can everyone catch fish but me? It's not fair! It's not fair!]
