Suddenly, the man before her opened his eyes, scaring Ashley Bowen so badly she almost fell off the railing.
"Ah!" She quickly covered her mouth, as if she'd been caught doing something wrong.
A charming smile played on Yuri Sinclair's lips. Just as Ashley Bowen was about to fall, he pulled her down into his lap. "Did you just steal a kiss?"
"I didn't!" Ashley Bowen immediately denied. "Don't tell me you've been pretending to be asleep this whole time?"
"I've always been a light sleeper. Now, tell me, why did you steal a kiss?" As Yuri Sinclair spoke, his large hand came to rest boldly on Ashley Bowen's thigh.
In this kind of weather, even with the air conditioning on inside, the open balcony did little to dispel the stubborn summer heat. Especially since the two of them were now pressed so tightly together.
Ashley Bowen felt a searing heat spread across her thigh, and she began to squirm.
