The Empress Dowager and the medical team had been waiting for some time. They hadn't sent the doctors directly to the young couples' residences because the elders wanted to hear the report in person.
Emperor Sinclair didn't join the commotion, but Queen Vance couldn't sit still and had come over early with her attendants.
To their surprise, however, the four didn't arrive on time. When they finally appeared, it was all together, each of their faces flushed a rosy red as if they'd put on blush.
"Did you take a nap without turning on the air conditioner? Or did you fall asleep under the sun?" the Empress Dowager asked with concern, beckoning Ashley Bowen over. She touched Ashley's flushed little face, then glanced at Yuri Sinclair with affectionate reproach.
Queen Vance walked over to Adam Sinclair and muttered to the couple, "What took you so long? Why were you dawdling?"
Claire Sutton tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear and cleared her throat.
