She hadn't eaten lunch, and no one had come to call for her. Stomach rumbling, Ashley Bowen wiped at her tears, feeling more and more wronged the more she thought about things.
Yuri Sinclair's coldness, the butler's harassment, Morgan Sinclair's deliberate torment, Claire Sutton looking down on her, and the man she loved most marrying someone else—it all broke Ashley Bowen's heart.
Just as Ashley Bowen was sniffling, the door swung open. She looked up to see Yuri Sinclair wheeling himself into the room.
"Your Highness…" Ashley Bowen's eyes were bright red, and her voice was choked with sobs.
Yuri Sinclair wheeled his chair in front of Ashley Bowen. He reached out and pulled her to her feet, his tone cold. "I called you. Why didn't you answer?"
Ashley Bowen shook her head in a daze. She pulled her phone out of her pocket, unlocked it, and saw that she did, in fact, have a missed call.
"You… you were looking for me, Your Highness? What… what for…"
