Ivy White's face paled, her lips trembling. "No, this… this can't be possible… After I finished, Faye checked it over. She said there weren't any problems, so I went to collect the payment."

May Callahan was so furious her chest ached. She spun around and called Faye Lowell over.
She slapped the report against Faye's face. "Faye Lowell, see for yourself! She's saying you confirmed it was fine, and that's why she used this document to collect the final payment. You tell me—did you or did you not confirm it?"
Faye Lowell was still completely baffled.
