"..." Archie Lockwood chuckled disdainfully as he looked at the fingers Ms. Ross held up.
When Archie Lockwood didn't respond, Yara Ross grew anxious. "Mr. Lockwood, for a man as wealthy as you, twenty million can't be much, right? You're not going to tell me you can't even afford that? If you don't give us twenty million, I don't think my family and I will be going abroad."
"Heh. No, Ms. Ross, I think you've misunderstood," Archie Lockwood said, shaking his head with a cold smile.
'He'd expected her to make some outrageous demand, but it seemed this was the extent of it.'
Yara Ross's expression soured. With a grim face, she asked, "Misunderstood?"
"But you were right about one thing, Ms. Ross. A man of my stature certainly wouldn't be cheap," Archie Lockwood said, his eyes dropping to the folder in his hands as a mocking smile touched his lips.
Hearing this, Yara Ross's eyes filled with delight. "Then, what amount did you have in mind, Mr. Lockwood?"
