Vera Xavier smiled softly at the sight of Sheldon Caldwell. She realized that Sheldon was actually a great brother. Although he could seem a bit unreliable at times, he genuinely cared for his family.
It was already 9:50 PM when Vera Xavier got back to campus. She sprinted back to her dorm. The dorm manager was just about to lock the doors when Vera quickly dashed inside. The dorm manager frowned and chided her, "It's almost ten and you're just getting back. Be earlier next time!"
Vera immediately agreed with a sincere attitude, then said with a smile, "Ma'am, you can't be thirty yet, can you? You're the most beautiful dorm manager I've ever seen, much prettier than all the others!"
The dorm manager was almost fifty, and she scolded Vera with a laugh. "You liberal arts students have mouths as sweet as honey. Let me tell you, even if you flatter me to no end, I still won't open the door for you if you're late again!"
